*NOTE: THIS IS A DEPRECATED OLDER VERSION OF FALCON BMS INCOMPATIBLE WITH CURRENT BMS -- WE MAINTAIN IT HERE FOR LEGACY USE AND REFERENCE -- Cheers! Falcon BMS 4.34 by BenchmarkSims Use the Download Button on the right to download the torrent files for all of these installers, to be used with a torrent client software like BitTorrent or Utorrent, for fastest download speeds. Torrents use peer-to-peer sharing from multiple sources of verified file copies among the BMS community to maximize download speed & availability without adding additional bandwidth costs to a website to host the files. In addition to this method, official mirrors can be found on the BMS website, or through our unofficial mirrors via the dropbox link(s) below. 2. *I know this area of the forums is currently hidden for most members, but if anyone sees this, the above is the very first ACTUAL report made using my voice controlled bug reporting and debugging -- previous reports have be format testing and such, but that's done now and figured I'd debug a current issue with this new system. I need to move the LastCommand and Previous Command up before the choices in voice debugging, but other than that, it's complete. I simply said, 'create a bug report', and my system asked me to run the commands I had problems with, told me to say, 'Save Report', when done... then it opened this website, to a new bug report form, asked me select the text area with the cursor, then say, 'ready' or 'done' to paste the report. The entire post above was created by my system, I didn't do anything except say, 'done', and press "Save" to post the report, which also posts to these forums. Of particular note, the automated debugging system noticed that the save file system may not be functioning correctly, and added a note to the Observed Behavior section of the report. I almost forgot about that, and was delighted to see it! Sometimes I have ideas to implement, far more than ever make it in, and I had thought perhaps this one was not crossed off the list yet. It even handles any Sub-Command failure and will toss up information if any had not executed properly or had thrown any errors during execution. Sometimes I impress even myself! I will now use the above report to find out why my new command "Set my Wingman as Human" doesn't save to file correctly. It works in profile, but once I close VoiceAttack and reload, it's like I never set Wingman to Human. (not yet implemented, this would be a new general command concept irrespective of callsign, sets the words "2" and "Wingman" to be recognized as Human, and therefore NOT press any in-game ai Radio Commands for Wingman if/when these words are recognized by my voice control system) This report is particularly long because it includes debugging of the profile restart and initialization, where I believe the problem lies. After CORE initializes itself, and then it's dependent 'modules' (like voice authorization system), and then if preferred profile is set, it will switch to and initialize that end-game profile ... in this case, AVCS4 BMS - Immersive Voice Control Radios (and it's dependent 'modules', if any) - but it must load the AVCS4 BMS save file before switching to the profile, or rather before arriving at it, or else any customized settings will not be available including commands that the user created by voice control using the Quick Command Creator module (as opposed to traditional command creating/editing). This new debugging and bug reporting system adds quite a bit of content to any command that needs it, unfortunately sometimes even commands that had only one single line, one single action... but it does not at all effect the speed of standard execution (when not debugging or creating a bug report), and that's all that matters. The information gained, and the ease of use for the user (and for me, the developer), far outweighs any negatives from the added bloat to the commands in my many AVCS profiles.

  4. This is a notice to check fire! Holy hot hell, I have not seen such lousy discipline in a long time. TK's happen ... but this is some excessive laziness IMHO when players in general cannot take a few extra moments to evaluate who they are shooting at, to not try harder to maintain situational awareness with the map where able (being essentially a BLUFOR tracker including individual soldiers). Feel bad for ya, Hater - you got pwn'd pretty hard by your own team. Commendable restraint with the use of !w instead of !damntohell All you admins, feel free to get pushy with the global !say command and tell folks to CHECK FIRE! and to use their maps, take a sec to learn the uniform difference between OPFOR and BLUFOR on the current map, or ask someone.
  5. =VG= SemlerPDX

    Life.

    Cool man! See you around!
  6. That's something it can't do*. That's only visible in the actual event pane view. *(out of the box, as it is - ...I would need more experience with IPS plugin and component customization in CSS etc. - we'll have to deal with it as is for the foreseeable future)
  7. I have not yet seen a dedicated server that had files requiring over 50GB of SSD space. That is just ridiculous. We do not have 52GB of free SSD space at this time to dedicate to this server, it would wipe out all our overhead used for various mods, large crash dumps, and other things that *could* need some space to work (even if deleted later). Another small concern is that they list a "integrated graphics card", often this term refers to an IGP on CPU, we have the i7 7700 (Intel Skylake) which has the Intel® HD Graphics 630 integrated graphics processor -- if that is what DCS means by that term, then we do have that requirement covered. We have 64GB of RAM, and barely touch it, so we're covered for any mission even if it takes up to 16GB of RAM. Our Server Host (Hetzner) offers a few complete server packages for rent, our current setup is a few years old now, and I've been considering upgrading this summer. It's not just a matter of asking them to toss in another hard drive / SSD - servers work in those packages, so if any change was made, it would be most cost effective and beneficial to move up to entirely new hardware (Skylake being 3 generations old now). When that happens, the major drawback that we deal with now, low SSD space, will be eliminated. When we got the current server, SSD's were just coming into mainstream, and the price per GB was much larger than it is now. We will likely be able to have a 1TB SSD or greater, as opposed to our current 238GB SSD which has to hold between 8 - 10 servers that we currently enjoy at VG (some don't stay online all the time, but are used for events, work, dev, etc.). TLDNR; This sounds cool, and I'd love to do it! I'm a big fan of DCS Warthog, need to get back in that piggly pit ... BUT we can't do it yet, we don't have the SSD space by a large margin. We'll be upgrading the VG Dedicated Server as early as this summer but I can't pin down any ETA to early/mid/late summer presently as this will involve myself and other members of the VG Tech Team and some of those folks are swamped at work due to COVID *also on the back burner due to COVID is our website update, which will come as soon as our Webmaster =VG= SolarFlame gets more time to breath -- people such as Solar who work in the IT field 10+ hours a day are super busy IRL, and barely have time to relax after work, hard to crack the whip and push forward when we know people are struggling. VG shouldn't be work, it's what we do AFTER work to have fun, and we enjoy the challenge of making it look good and work well, but it's currently functional and we can survive a little longer in the older version.
  8. We will likely need more men - but certainly would hate to get a flood of people to where VG community regulars are unable to get a slot in a squad. Any suggestions? Should we make it RSVP via the Calendar event with a maximum number of RSVP's hard-set? This website has features like that, we just use them rarely, if at all. OT: Also I really need to get our new groups and applications going -- hoping to have it done before end of June... need names for them still... we have a few, like VG Air Force.... VG PR Army? VG Regular Army? not sure if the FPS server's we run should hold a single group, A3/PR/SQUAD, or each have their own "regulars" group. Either way, the thought is to have it as an open enrollment to any who apply, gets them a fancy website role (with access to that group's private forums, just a board for discussions among them not visible to public) but essentially not much different than the current standard 'member' role at VG website. Thought of making each group a 'custom homepage' at VG, too, looking pretty much the same as our normal home page, but with a second topic feed above the standard 'top 12' (shortened to 5 or 6 instead), linked only to that group's private forums feed, and maybe a few other group-specific blocks or elements. Roles would not come with in-game tags, but could allow use of them on voluntary level but we'd not want them to resemble the =VG= tags... maybe VGAF or VGAR (no "=") ... still in the discussion phase, but this would be the route for any member to start, to allow a commitment to our rules & spirit, as a flag for a member to say, "I like it here, I'd like to get known"... as the initial route before they can then use a new In-Game Admin application to join yet a higher role at VG (In-Game Admins), and from there, a jumping off point that leads to =VG= Clan Membership potentially.
  9. Yea, a few of us will be streaming and recording it. I've got a few terabytes free space in my DropBox - would like to create a collaboration folder, and share access to any of us regulars at VG to upload raw footage from our perspective, we'll name the files for the player who's view it is, and we can all download any other perspective if we wanna make a larger video project including other camera angles. I still have to work out the logistics, and I assume anyone who'd want to participate would need a DropBox account (free version would be fine), so I can add users to a shared folder.
  10. Geez - no wonder it had issues - all that mess in the cockpit, all that clutter... probably knocked a switch on the cyclic
  11. @=VG= Sausag3 Added the new event to the calendar, but I was not sure if you wanted me to postpone the weekly SQUAD Event on the calendar or not - If not, I'll move it back from June 6th if you intended to have the players hang out and play some SQUAD, and then break and go back into Arma 3... Just let me know. Cheers!
  12. Happy to answer any questions or listen to any suggestions for my AVCS profiles for VoiceAttack! I am available most days to chat directly in the VG Discord AVCS Support Channel, too. If you have AVCS CORE or any AVCS4 Profile powered by AVCS CORE, you can use the command, "Open Help and Support Menu" for helpful links like the one below: Discord channel link https://discord.gg/BR6NjE3 Feel free to create new topics or to reply to this one. Cheers! If you run VA as Admin and hate the UAC Confirmation Prompt pop-up, check out this method I tossed together to use a Windows Task to bypass UAC when launching VA as Admin: https://forum.voiceattack.com/smf/index.php?topic=3517.msg16179#msg16179
  13. Simple oversight -- I've removed you from the banlist now. It should take effect next time the server crashes/restarts afaik. /locked
  14. ↑ Wow - that takes me back! BF1942 was my first real online MP PC game! (and the subsequent Desert Combat Mod) Thank you for the report! Added to Disabled Maps List (correct me if wrong, I assume ALT is the 32 layer) mapList.append khamisiyah gpm_coop 32 This one was bad because it was a Starter Map, could be the first map on server restart, resulting in chaos.
  15. It appears to be back online. Wasn't me. Maybe CobaltUK or Jeffu.
  16. Server is back online. Must have been restarted to Day 1 -- so, it's Day 2 now, and first few days crash the most. Post here if it happens again. Thanks for the report!
  17. No, he was told that COOP is a buggy mess, and to play Online COOP servers as they will be slightly less so due to Melon and others instantly implementing the same changes they push to the next release version candidate (essentially pre-patching parts of the game for testing/etc. prior to mass update for all), or else avoid COOP until fixed. It's a shitshow all around, and until it's fixed, there's no hope for trying to figure out anything past standard operations (and were these fixed, any solo/offline PvE COOP would likely be functional, too) - by which I mean there is nothing more to do except continue working to fix COOP, and when that is done, problems such as the OP reported will be a non-issue, and PvE offline COOP will work just fine. All we can do is be patient. The 1.6.1 and a patch for it just dropped -- they are actively working on issues.
  18. Yea... no... yea..... not seeing it on the PR SERVER page Crash Reports.... yea... no... yea.... fill out a report.. thaaaanx! https://veterans-gaming.com/index.php?/pr-server-support/
  19. That's gotta be the BIOS version of your video card... Nvidia GFX Drivers are currently: Version: 445.87 Release date: 04/15/2020 (problem isn't your hardware, tho - it's the game, so rest easy there - lotta people working to fix it) If it helps you any, VG has disabled the following maps for the *(now depreciated) 1.6.0.3 version as they have known crash issues or reported crashes upon loading: mapList.append albasrah_2 gpm_coop 16 mapList.append albasrah_2 gpm_coop 32 mapList.append albasrah_2 gpm_coop 64 mapList.append asad_khal gpm_coop 32 mapList.append beirut gpm_coop 32 mapList.append beirut gpm_coop 64 mapList.append bijar_canyons gpm_coop 64 mapList.append burning_sands gpm_coop 32 mapList.append fallujah_west gpm_coop 64 mapList.append jabal gpm_coop 32 mapList.append karbala gpm_coop 64 mapList.append kashan_desert gpm_coop 32 mapList.append khamisiyah gpm_coop 32 mapList.append lashkar_valley gpm_coop 16 mapList.append lashkar_valley gpm_coop 32 mapList.append lashkar_valley gpm_coop 64 mapList.append muttrah_city_2 gpm_coop 32 mapList.append operation_marlin gpm_coop 32 mapList.append outpost gpm_coop 64 mapList.append ramiel gpm_coop 64
  20. Can give you a list of the maps we have disabled from standard rotation currently - Melon is working on COOP to fix things, as are many other members of the COOP portion of the PR Team. We are doing our part to provide python_error logs and ProCdump crash logs to the PR Devs to help them narrow down and isolate specific issues, and we are asking our players to participate in a Crash Report Form so we can better compile information on maps and their crash tendency/frequency, and hopefully we can correlate this with those crash dump logs, and get the best info we can to those who need it without overloading them with useless or redundant information. VG's current Disabled Maps list: mapList.append albasrah_2 gpm_coop 16 mapList.append albasrah_2 gpm_coop 32 mapList.append albasrah_2 gpm_coop 64 mapList.append asad_khal gpm_coop 32 mapList.append beirut gpm_coop 32 mapList.append beirut gpm_coop 64 mapList.append bijar_canyons gpm_coop 64 mapList.append burning_sands gpm_coop 32 mapList.append fallujah_west gpm_coop 64 mapList.append jabal gpm_coop 32 mapList.append karbala gpm_coop 64 mapList.append kashan_desert gpm_coop 32 mapList.append khamisiyah gpm_coop 32 mapList.append lashkar_valley gpm_coop 16 mapList.append lashkar_valley gpm_coop 32 mapList.append lashkar_valley gpm_coop 64 mapList.append muttrah_city_2 gpm_coop 32 mapList.append operation_marlin gpm_coop 32 mapList.append operation_marlin gpm_coop 64 mapList.append outpost gpm_coop 64 mapList.append ramiel gpm_coop 64 definitely accurate, a bit before 2013.... Actually, the founding members of the VG Clan as a gaming group started wearing tags and stomping around PR before having a website or server, iirc - well before my time here... stories ya hear around the campfire... And I assume either our PR license got reset / updated in March 2011, maybe that was our first or second dedicated server migration and needed to change/update it for some reason - I started out as a regular on the VG PR COOP Server in Summer/Fall 2010. My website member number was like 750 ..-ish.... numbers/posts count system took a hit on the last website migration a few years back. Ereen is one of our newer regular members, his website member number is 10,455.... how time files, eh?
  21. I think we all need a break now and then. Sometimes longer than others. Before I was in VG, I played competitive first-person military shooters for nearly ten years, I ran a small clan clan with some friends but would have preferred just being a member, it got pretty heavy sometimes - a lot of shit talking, a lot of assholes & adrenaline, and a lot of frustration at times. When I got here to VG/PR COOP, I was pretty much burned out from "hunting the most dangerous game", burned out from PR Deployment, and started focusing more on the coop/teamwork aspect and fragging endless waves of bots, and got hooked. Now when we go into PvP now and then, it's a completely different feel and atmosphere than back in the day when I only lived for the kill, for those counter-sniper hunts, and those sneaky rear flank maneuvers to deliver the most devastating suicide attack to as many idiots clustered up on the other end of a bottleneck as possible, 'bodies on my mind I can never get enough' ... lol We'll be here if you ever feel like coming back. On top of everything, the PR COOP server and missions being unstable, nearly unplayable (weighted to heavily against players), tensions are high all around. Take your time, be well. Remember, we also play other games here with friends, from Arma 3 to SQUAD, and WarGame, Space Engineers, ARK Survival & ATLAS, even through Minecraft (with a fuck-ton of mods) - our 'whitelist' private servers are not publicly advertised, but mostly welcome to friendly & known/trusted members who inquire, and I'd love to get a Racing League group started, too. Say goodbye to any game you want whenever, just know that doesn't always mean you need to say goodbye to your friends at VG, too.
  22. First 1 to "thirty" minutes? that could be every map at this point We're looking to eliminate known "crashes when loaded" as in cannot run a match for any period of time when we're looking for those to remove altogether. That is the criteria I was trying to highlight for that sort of remark you made about that map. It's important to be specific. We know they're all very unstable, please report all that stuff -- but when it comes to a map that needs to be literally removed from rotation, y'all unfortunately can't just toss up something that 'mostly crashes', ya need to be specific please. Thank you all very much for helping!!! Cheers!
