Request for a Carrier based Harrier Squadron?

I can add Harrier Squadron(s) to the current carrier in the campain, the Vinson -- but I'm not familiar with adding another carrier battle group. I'll look into it this weekend and get it done. -

If it does become a problem, I can always revert changes or fix them without resetting the entire campaign by editing the save in Mission Commander. Also, not going to assume anything malicious with the Bullseye being moved. I've done it myself when attacking the region of the Bullseye in order to make it less confusing when requesting information from AWACS. I'm sure if it was moved to an area that made it difficult for the entire theater to get easy to use data from AWACS, that it could be viewed as an unwanted/unhelpful, though - but of course, you can always just move it back anytime, so no harm, no foul (in a way). Thanks for the report and keep an eye out. If you see anything else, feel free to post it up and we'll have a look at it.

I very much enjoy DCS Warthog. I wish I could say I'm ready to jump into a flight with you, but I'm a bit out of practice. I have been thinking of retraining so I can jump into a mission here and there. I was also a bit turned off by the lack of realism in the missions, etc. The best one I found was a dynamic on-call CAS mission that has many "sub-missions" that you are randomly tasked with through 9-Line CAS requests over the radio. It takes place in the mountainous regions to the North/Northeast to give it a feel of the Afghanistan conflicts. You may not fit into a 1:1 cockpit, and in real life, the physical limits for a pilots body also include a minimum and maximum height as well as girth and weight. But this is not real life, and if you got into this as a hobby, how cool would it be to make a home cockpit that can comfortably fit a big and tall person such as yourself?

@Xenalite okay - that was pretty clever right there! @Echo1 Thank you for your interest! As VG's ambassadors to the public players here, our Admins try their best to be knowledgeable and friendly role models in the spirit of fair play and cooperation, and that is the sort of behavior and demeanor we look for in potential admins. If you are serious about this, you would also need to conduct yourself in this manner as well, and follow these attitudes of friendly teamplay and cooperation, as well as the rules of the game - we keep an eye out and watch for potential candidates. We have internal discussions regarding players we feel would be a good fit for admin on the server. It's good to know this is something you would be interested in. In the meantime, it will help us greatly if you would report players in game with the !r report function when no admins are online. If your name comes up and you get tapped for Admin here, we will let you know. Thanks again!

The Training Manual does not cover all subjects and concepts, just a "sampler platter" of what is required for the included lessons - it is not the complete picture. When I cannot find information on a subject, I open 4 PDF documents and use the CTRL+F find function for the subject -- refer to the BMS- Training manual, the BMS-Manual, the TO-BMS1F-16CM-1 (referred to as the "Dash One" manual), and the TO-BMS1F-16CM-34-1-1 (referred to as the "Dash Thirty-Four" manual). In this case, the info on this subject begins (coincidentally, I assure you) on page 34 of the Dash 34:

Everyone knows that the human eye can only see 1 core, so anything more is overkill So, the PR COOP server is running on a single CPU core (1 of 8) and has been for about 7 months. This has not changed - ever. -

Thanks for the report! I've given the server a hard restart. Also, due to the many crashes, they're sick of today's rotation starting map, so I changed it to tomorrow's rotation early. Let's hope this fixes it. -
We will be updating to U4 as soon as possible. It's a holiday week here in America, and this updated just sneaked onto the scene - we'll get things sorted before Saturday. SERVER HAS BEEN UPDATED TO 4.33.4!

Nice list of carrier channels. The only reason I did not include any of those tables, or airbases as well, is because it's more of a "how to" SOP for preset radio channel usage for the VG BMS Campaign, and for the carriers we only have the one (Vinson) on our server, and the same procedure applies unless you are taking off from a different airbase than the carrier you are landing on, which would be odd. You set your "home plate" frequency to Preset Channel 15 prior to launching into the mission. Great table link, though! Thank you!- 7 replies
