  1. Good to hear, thanks. If admin was doing a good job then it was probably me... if they were doing a bad job it was mostly likely a drunken Jarema !crazy
  2. Yes thanks for registering and letting us know. It's nice to get a compliment now and again - what server were you playing on?
  3. You were auto-banned May 19th by the system but it does not give me a reason why. Since you took the time to register and post I will lift the ban effective immediately. Please note by default you will be on a 30-day probation and any other 'problems' that arise during this period will result in a perma-ban. Have fun!!
  4. How old is your motherboard? Those errors you are getting... could be a bad motherboard as well (I assume your ethernet is onboard?). Unfortunately as PITN said finding the problem can be time consuming. Do you have a local PC shop you can bring it to? They would be able to test your hardware (board, RAM, etc) and eliminate it as a possibility.
  5. I know you re-installed already but I bet your profile did not get removed/reinstalled. Delete your BF2/PR profile folder(s) and try to login again or create a new account and try
  6. What about adding a banner announcement thingy on the PR server so regulars will know about it?
  7. lol @ picture fail!! this is a great idea I will be there
  8. Yes you will need a floppy with the RAID drivers on the disk...when the XP install first starts press F6 to load SCSI drivers then follow the prompts. Not sure if you can load from a USB drive... never tried it and in XP it defaults to the A: drive. You could always buy a cheap floppy or USB floppy drive.
  9. Well good to know then!! My last experience with RB was with Vista which is probably why I haven't tried it since :)
  10. I dont have a lot of experience with ReadyBoost in Win7 but I would think the limiting speed of the USB interface would be an issue? Especially compared to a SATA drive.. remembering that USB requires CPU overhead to transfer data. Have you tried using RB on your PC and does it actually speed things up?
  11. CTD while directing mortar fire is THE WORST!!
  12. Great post... I can only stress the importance of keeping your PC dust free and cool. Install a free temp reader program and see how hot your CPU runs during a gaming session. Do not leave your case open to try and cool your PC.. most cases are designed for good airflow when the case is closed..opening the side just ruins the flow. Also the wipe/re-install does wonders for older PCs... at work we re-image workstations every 12 months max
  13. Looks like fun..reminds me of our 3 day canoe trip last year where we camped each night by the river. Included a 2km portage over rough terrain and lots of rapids on the water....we only flipped the canoe once! Never seen one of those TentCots before..they look cramped but dry :)
  14. If both PCs lost connection at the same time then it must be either your router or your internet connection (assuming it was not a server problem). Are you still getting disconnected?
  15. Hans what happens when you get disconnected? Do you get the message 'connection to server has been lost' ... 'you have been disconnected from the server' ... punkbuster - related errors, etc?
  16. I have not tried it myself but if you install XP after Win7, XP will break the Win7 boot loader. You will need to have a Win7 CD/DVD handy and do a repair after installing XP. From what I have read the best way is to install XP first, then 7 but if you've already got 7 installed then this is not an option. Anyone else tried this before?
  17. I think I've played vBF2 twice ever!! I'm in!
