  2. (try this if this is your kind of math. Poff and Terremer, I'm thinkin you'd be able to get this, and would be surprised if you worked through it without checking the answer) ;) For all the rest of us, and the overworked math nuts who don't want to be bothered with more math at Christmas, just click this link for the surprise answer: http://i.imgur.com/pxk6zuJ.jpg *(credit goes to Srinivasan Varadarajan, friend of VG on Facebook. Thanks for the neat share!)
  3. @murder - just start downloading now, maybe it will finish a few minutes before game day. Hobbit-net must suck... !lol j/k I'll have to sit this one out - I'll be home from xmas vacation on Jan 7th. Looks good, Cold! !fans
  4. And to you, too! My little family is all together finally - last kid just got in from Wisconsin, and my daughter is so happy to see her brother! And of course their mother is super happy, too! Great to be with family for the holidays! See you all in January! !fans
  5. That is very cool of you. More people who know VG but don't know that you put up a server for this game may have an easier time finding it and increasing your player base if the name of this server reflected our clan name... might I suggest VETERANS-GAMING 7D2D COOP !cheers
  6. Bee's die off = all plant life on earth begins to die off. (this one is real and scarry - no one knows why the bees are going so far down in numbers, but it is really happening right now. Nowhere near a real problem yet, but each year in Oregon, I see less and less bees on our berry bushes and in the yard in general. spooky! if they die, all of them, the earth will be a ball of sand, rock, and dirt in a matter of decades.)
  7. This thread was started half a year ago - was bumped. I am not sure if Reality Gamers are international, but I can tell you that they are English speaking for the majority. Though this thread was a heads up to us about these "brothers in arms", I'm not sure if we've ever organized an actual Joint Op - but it is still on the table, possible, and if anyone wants to take the initiative and contact some reps at RG to create a Joint Op Gaming Event in some game(s) that both our communities play, you should feel free. Just make sure you get a decent set of RSVP from your event signups as it is the holiday season, and regardless, I've seen well planned events go off with an insultingly low number of attendants (whether or not they RSVP'd). Basic rule: If you don't get enough signups for an event, don't get upset; just play with the group you have and re-post the event for later date as an Operation Redux. !cheers
  8. http://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=19046&d=1384100827 or if doesn't work: http://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?16681-Falcon-BMS-4-32-Update-7 *you may need to create an account if you don't have one at benchmarksims in order to view that link. !pilot
  9. Our VETERANS-GAMING BMS Server has been updated - be sure you have the BMS Update 7 installed. If you have any trouble connecting to the server in the next several days or weeks, please post up here and we will try to help you connect. !pilot
  10. the molten iron core of the earth could stop spinning ala "The Core" IMDB The Core But you'll need a black guy to sacrifice himself to save the crew as far as I can tell by watching the film... ;P
  11. =VG= TortiaBoy wrote ... something I took during the Arma 3 event Your pic rocks - it needs to go up here for posterity... !lol Great action shot - as the sniper is firing, dust rises from the ground.
  12. I like that squad management GUI - I'd totally be into TvT but PvP always seems a little "deathmatchy" to me. And with ALiVE? WOW - that would be cool - you'd never know exactly if the enemy squad was humans. It would just be a huge war zone with real threats everywhere... as opposed to PvP which always favors the dude with the better scope and position, and/or who see's who first. I'll note that single shot accuracy in A3 is crap compared to A2, so maybe it wouldn't be so bad. May have a chance to react to an incoming shot....
  13. That was fun - in the end, tho, I couldn't get respawned in my team, I'd click "enter" and appear at base. No message. I have also clicked enter on a friendly inside enemy territory, it gives message, "Too close to enemy units" or something, and instead of letting you wait, it spawns you back at base. Anyway, was very fun to take part in a live war like that. very cool. !fans
  14. please check your post and edit as needed - something may have fouled up. Perhaps your file was added as an attachement that is not of the allowed file type - if it is a picture file, might I suggest Imagur or others, and then simply adding the file link in the post? I love scope charts and can't wait to see this one! I eagerly await it! !hi
  15. It's not just you - we are having some technical difficulties with the site, and the forums. We are working to fix them, but we have also found that certain content has been lost. I guess we better start a new PR Screenshot thread - some awesome pics come out of that game. Thanks for the heads up! !hi
  16. Is this for real?! OMG! That is a very commendable effort! I just watched that video like 3 times in a row. Feel free to keep us updated, and if you would like us to do some private testing, we have plenty of room on both of those game servers - I should ask, does it matter that our Falcon Server is in the US and our Arma 3 server is in Germany? (they don't have to be running on the same physical server for this to work, do they?) !2cool SUPER AMAZING WORK!!!!
  17. For the record, though already posted in chatbox, the campaign has been restarted. Situation: Poor The DPRK have push South to Seoul, but hope is not yet lost. The entire peninsula of Korea is modeled in Falcon BMS, with every single Airport and Airstrip functioning. An active war rages sometimes up to a week long, yes that is how fast an entire country could be overtaken! This is the main draw of this very old Sim. Anyone intrigued by the idea should check out some videos and give it a shot - but like the 780 page F-16 Flight Manual says, "You wanted realism, you got it!". Good luck and good flying! !cp
  18. We did it! More than 200lbs (90kg) lifted to the ceiling like a monument...damn, my arms hurt.
  19. So you see why I've not been gaming or online really at all lately. Sorry I haven't been around. This thing was supposed to be finished by September! It's already getting too cold for another winter in this "garage office" I have. This morning, it was 33 degrees F (1 C?) SavageCDN =VG= LAN_WROTE ... Nice work... guess the jacuzzi got scrapped? Well, you say that... but... in that final picture, outside the door - if the clematis leaves on that green trellis were trimmed, you'd see the jacuzzi behind it. Don't hate me bro! !lol Pic from outside the ManCave: (note the frost on the jacuzzi lid) It's been off for days cuz we've been doing electrical overhaul, giving the 30 Amp circuit a GFIC upgrade, and replacing all the breakers with same brand circuit breakers to match the brand of the main panel (some home owner's insurance thing that was never done, in case of electrical fire). Here's a pic of my desk as I'm writing this morning:
  20. Thank you for that. We are honored to have had such a kind individual among us, he will be missed. From our family to yours, our deepest condolences and warmest thoughts go out to you. RIP Bottom
  21. First pics are from past months.... 210 CFM Carbon Filter Chamber ;) I took these just a few minutes ago...
  22. That blows, PITN!!! Seriously! I hope you find a way to keep online, cuz there's no way the Eagles Club Bingo Night could compare to a nice war game session... They have us Americans over a barrel, just like Robot's news link says, and they know it, too. Well, I bet you will still get email on your phone, right? I may start buggin you every few weeks with what's happening just so you don't feel too left out. !crying
