  1. SavageCDN =VG= LAN_WROTE ... Put me in as Medic in QSS squad (someone has to babysit Gaz !yes) Guess I'll need to practice a bit it's been a few years.... Pretty sure I'ma need it;)
  2. BLuDKLoT =VG= LAN_WROTE ... VIP Rescue? Wats that? As for gamemode - Blufor(humans duh) has to cap points and kill enemies (bots) in order to get intel points. When enough intel is gathered, Blufor will get small hints about VIP location. (Inside/outside, colour/type of building). All flags (except mains) will be active at the same time. If Blufor manages to cap all of them, they'll be given 200m(?) wide area where the VIP is. Then they'll have certain amount of time to get there and find the VIP, before he's executed. Full list of details about intel system and rules will be added on signup threat.(haven't decided how many intel points for what... ) Bear in mind that this is going to be Vanilla PR event. There will be no fancy coding or editing. Just AAS with other objective than just flag capture and bot grinding.
  3. Hey man welcome! I still havent done one of these;)
  4. I've seen a lot of people flying in PR and they all seem to fly Very low and very slow between buildings, thats exactly why they can get shot out. If I was sitting infront of one of those guys flying a heli the way a lot of people there do, well I think it would be pretty easy to nail a guy flying directly down my road just above head hight - All about letting lose rounds at it.
  5. I dont play an awful lot of PR, but im starting at least. My take on this if its valid, When i played a long time ago. It generally seemed to be a game of who could run the fastest or get trans first to the next flag. It just want difficult. The most frustrating part was having to wait to aim. Now theres some reasonable Opposition. I played in an organised game, and the game was amazing, It went very well and we pushed and took pushes. There was quite a lot of casualties and the bots enjoyed using their numbers to over run us, but this was not bad. There was a full squad and we were using the tactics required to win and Honestly. It was A fantastic experience. I Totally enjoyed this. We had the AAV (Recon) in support of us after we chalked off 2x squad members to return him to his AAV in the field. It added almost a sense of mini objectives because Recon was not able to just sprint off backwards and find his AAV, he genuinely actually needed support for this task. We used tactics, people got used to evading fire better later in the match and things got slightly easier but we enjoyed. I loved it. I then played a game with almost No co-operation in it. Was dreadful. It was hard. There was no tactical movements going on, no support working with Inf. It was every man for himself. We got rinsed for a large portion of the game. We then formed a decent Inf squad, CAS Started lending us never ending firesupport. And we pushed forward, and we actually won that match. It was a insane sense of achievement. Basically. If teamwork isnt used, people are not going to have fun. This is going to enforce teamwork. People are going to find this change very difficult because you get habbits from playing for so long. New people are not going to be up to scratch, but honestly they are never going to be up to scratch they are new. They will however learn to become veterans of this dificulty. Its increasing their game level to the next tier. It might seem cruel but people are going to from proper squads now because it is just needed to win. Your not going to get your regular 2man locked squad as often because its just genuinely not a viable option. The change is hard, but If you push back just as hard. It'll be like walking down the good o'l PR street again.
  6. I've seen the bots missing just as much as they hit, where im coming from (Yes the cursed other world of arma) These guys are quite inaccurate. People will learn to deal with it, people will become more skilled and you'll find it more enjoyable. You've just got to get used to the bots actually providing a decent level of fight. I'm gonna agree with schilling, the bots should be able to react just as fast as we can sometimes maybe faster. You'd not always face a guy who is slow, not always one who is fast. I Think is quite perfect actually.
  7. Eh, I've never really played much PR, I played a round about 10 minutes ago. Bots seem fine. Not sure where the complaints are from.. Guess people are soft after playing easy bots? ^^ They were enough of a challenge. I enjoyed it.
  8. In.. As usual. Will probably sign up both here and on lambs, just to ensure maximum confusion is caused:)
  9. Very different, this is intercommunity admin meeting, this is between a substantial number of arma communities that all meet together to discuss this shape setup. Such as the French guys, the Italians - Kelly's Heroes and so on. Then after the meeting on the following sunday we all meet up and play as a large group and its quite a blast really.
  10. Calv =VG= LAN_WROTE ... WhiteWolf LAN_WROTE ... Gaz =VG= LAN_WROTE ... Arma 3 has changed quite a bit. I hated it and now I play it regularly. I don't like ARMA 3 because I have bad eyes, I can not identify targets as i can in BF2:PR/ARMA 2. Don't worry, they don't give us optics anyway so we just shoot randomly in the general direction we think we're being shot at from. Ok. That was the best response ever. This is such a true fact, everyone just kinda shoots all over the place, Its wonderful and if the AI ever get close... Its generally just panic and shouting:P
  11. Arma 3 has changed quite a bit. I hated it and now I play it regularly.
  12. If your running play with six go into CO settings/gamesettings and disable the Beta patch otherwise your going to get a version error. Just FYI
  13. Not sure if anyone here heard. "British D-Day veteran 89 years of age was stopped from attending the D-Day memorial service by the people running the home he was in. He was then reported missing and later phoned the home reporting, he was in france at the service and that his friends would make sure he returned home safely in the next few days after the celebrations had finished. He decided to just walk out and go anyway." The Chief Superintendent is reported to have said "Love this 89year old veteran reported missing by care home who said he can't go to Normandy for D-Day remembrance. We've found him there!" True grit and loyalty. Semper fi seems the only thing fitting for this soldier.
  14. Although I dont have a story to share, I'd happily like to comment a simple thanks for the record. All words fail in comparison to what they did and gave. Rather not see this thread sink and would like to state like many others. "We will not forget." "They met as strangers but soon became brothers to the end"
  15. Can we clarify when this is? Is it this saturday, or next month?...
  16. If your trying to build a bigger fan base wouldn't adding smaller missions be counter productive?
  17. It feels like a decent time waster.
  18. Ok. So had a bit of a go with wooz, As tragic as it looks. Pretty fun actually. Possibility to be really something special in numbers. Lots of drunk fools running around being stomped by Trex's and other random stuff. Could be fun.
  19. Would be great if it could be switched to sustained combat, its running tactical operations at the moment.
