  1. I sense am new R-Con bot with abilities being made as we speak.. We shall call it the B-CON, the ban able vehicle that can investigate layer issues and fly and around  automatically performing admin tasks. it starts to predict when a player will break the rules even before he or she does...What could go wrong!

    Asustek Sabertooth 990FX motherboard AM3r2

    AMD FX-8150 (8 core processor) 3.61 GHz

    16 GB RAM DDR3 GSKILL F3-14900CL10-8GBXL (2X8 GB)

    AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series

    HP DVD writer

Cooler Master V8 GTS - High Performance CPU Cooler with Horizontal Vapor Chamber and 8 Heatpipes

OCZ AGIL ITY3 SATA DRIVE (My OS's are here) 120 GB

SEAGATE FREEAGENT GO FLEX USB DRIVE (All my steam and games are on here) 1TB

Toshiba mk1637gsx sata drive 160 GB

    I am running a 650 W power

    Windows 7 Ultimate

It cost a pretty penny when I built it but parts are getting cheaper and more enhanced processing power is capable.  Hope this helps!

I found this site after I built my machine: https://pcpartpicker.com/

  3. I personally prefer AMD, like you said performance is great at the budget. My last PC I built was in 2012 and still goes strong, fallout 4 and GTA 5 no issues. I'm running 16 GB ram.  Running a sabertooth mobo that is amazing.I have only dumped a CPU cooler in since my stock was not working well. My current bottle neck is Internet.

What does your current room temp run? If it is constantly hot and you are looking for a compact build liquid does have pros. I believe some other VG members have liquid cooled rigs and all have praise for them. I personally don't run hot due to large case and air cooling system that vents well.

I can post my specs when I'm done work so that will be 5ish hours if you need.

  4. But it's tough to go in for a person to change their drinking habit if that's what they want to do. They are suffering from alcohol withdrawal syndrome and that causes people to shake sometimes. Something that I offered to my substance users is AA. They have a lot of resources and a lot of information on how to help.  There are also state holiness to help with keeping sober and "recovery centers" in major areas that can assist with this.

Like I said, the most difficult part is them, the individual wanting to see a change. We unfortunatly, have a lot of people that cope with issues, mental or not with substances because it is easier.

Vet centers are a great resource as well, but getting people to use them is tough. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't force him to drink it.

Positive thinking and empowerment usually are starting points,  you sound like you have a therapeutic relationship with him. Try to find some hobbies or interests and get some motivation from seeing what he enjoys. This may be beneficial or it may not be.

Good luck, this is not an easy task my friend

  5. Something that I would recommend as a mental health therapist is look for support groups in your area.  It took a long time for people to recognize PTSD as something that does impact people on a daily bases and some people can MANAGE their symptoms and some people still need help no matter what they have for resources.  I would reccomend https://therapists.psychologytoday.com/rms/ as another resource that can hook you up with someone to talk to if you want that is specilized in what you are looking for and insurance coverage if that is an issue.  Vets have Veteran Center and some links that are not known, http://www.va.gov/,  or look for some mental health centers around you as well http://www.mentalhealthamerica.net/finding-therapy.  Groups are another option that you can utilize, some people like them because you do not have to do 1 on 1 and like you said you want to know how many other people are impacted by it.  Peer support groups are also beneficial I have found from former clients.

If you are looking for more information about the technical aspect of PTSD pick up a DSM-5, this is what clinicians use to diagnose and help treat symptoms.

You are not alone when it comes to having PTSD or some form of trauma related injury; either mentally or physically.

Hope some of these resources help,

    cheers-m8

  7. I'll be honest, I have a few sleeper accounts and I am glad that people do not know if I am an admin or not.  Some of my accounts have been blown because they started talking to me with my in game name not matching my gammer tag.  I had to use another account since it was known that account was locked to my name.

A sleeper also has the opportunity to see how players act and perform when they do not see any "admin".  I see one person at least a week that does the "admin" command and then seeing no admin online wreak chaos.  There were times I would just have an "afk" admin on to keep a tab in the game when the servers are on the low side and not much monitoring needs to be done.  Stay in TS and if people needed me I would be able to assist.

I personally feel very happy with how we, as =VG=, have the ability to police ourselves.  A lot of people rant and rave about our server, but look at the population we have.  At any time VG COOP has mostly the TOP SLOT for player count.  Yes we fluctuate and yes we do have some hiccups now and then, some players get through, but we have fans and dedicated people that make this server stay up as much as possible.  We have Head admin that devote an untold amount of hours and we have a support staff that keep the server in tip top shape and up to date as much as possible, you don't know about them because you do not see them on a daily bases, or you see them more when fecal matter hits the fan.

Something that I tried to start when I first became an admin (before I was =VG=) was a list of admin and time zones they wanted.  I am sure I was not the first and I have seen it surface again in my short time here.  If you folks want I can start to set this roster up again.  A point that was brought up was this is not a job and I agree 100%.  Admin should not take away from people wanting to enjoy PR, since PR is life for some hardcore players.

Long post short- I like !admin hidden and appreciate all the work that goes into the server's: admin or non-admin, support "staff" or players.  You make a =VG= SERVER , A GREAT SERVER!

  8. In my 3 gun competition I see my division starting to run a Galil instead of an AR platform and a lot of the higher end competition shoot the benelli m4 due to magazine size.  I'm still partial to the M1A for a long gun so it fits into the "heavy metal" division, which consists of 12 gauge, .308 plus and .45 ACP for the win.

Not a fan of the AK variants, technically a great weapon and can not jam even if you open the action and place JAM inside, and smother it in mud, still operates better than most weapons but just does not tickle my pickle.  I do like the Galil though for some odd reason.
