We usually play Arma with no DLCs but some mods. The mods you can easily download from steam workshop but they vary from mission to mission.

Arma 3 Event Player count: 13 sign-ups (reserve slots if more ppl interested) VDV Campaign DAY 2 - SAM Hunting SATURDAY March 25th 2023 - 1900hrs GMT (PRT) Server name: VETERANS-GAMING | VDV Campaign Day 2 | TS3.VETERANS-GAMING.COM IP: 5.9.23.136:2402 Password: crazyfrog BRIEFING: The Russian Federation has decided to attack an island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea.The Island is a neutral state with historical connections both to the US and NATO and USSR. After the Gulf War, the government decided to stop buying Russian equipment and started investing heavily in US gear. This war is TOTALLY needed for security of Russia's national interest. The war planners decided to strike at four separate fronts. Places markers on the map are places of a naval invasion performed by naval infantry and supported by the navy and the army. Those forces will be the main force. In the meantime highly skilled airborne units will capture all airports on the island and hold them until the main force arrives. CAMPAIGN OBJECTIVES: As part of the VDV you are tasked with infiltrating, capturing and holding an airport. However there will be no main force coming to help you. After establishing your positions near the airfield you will be resupplied and will take key targets to engage the units under NE command and do not allow them to reinforce other fronts. Throughout the campaign you will be able to find and use enemy equipment to your advantage. (e.g. if you capture a helicopter while attacking the airfield, there will be pilot slots added for the next day of the campaign.) OBJECTIVES DAY 2: After a successful raid on the airbase and establishing a forward operating base we have been resupplied by cargo planes just as planned. I mean almost. It was attempted, we got some kit, reinforcements, a few light and RRR vehicles. The rest of the supplies cannot be safely dropped due to a SAM network still operational in the area. Your priority objective then is to disable the SAM site and a radar installation, that our air-force managed to miss. Thanks to our EW capabilities the long range SAMs are temporally offline but it won't stay this way for long. Thankfully our intelligence was able to locate the objectives. As you might have noticed our base is very easy to find and even easier to level with arty. One of our reconnaissance drones located a position of heavy artillery getting ready to fire. If we want to have an airfield to come back to, we need to destroy those artillery pieces. REDFOR assets day 2: infantry UAV Shillka (captured) light vehicles MI-24 CAS support (captured) mortar (captured) Rules: standard VG arma rules MODS: campaign_modset.html CHVD, DUI, Enhanced movement are optional, though I recommend running them Uragan-1 Team Leader: =VG= .Blizzard. You'll be able to get anything you need from the arsenal in case the team lead wants to have some other roles during the mission. A 2 man crew for the Shillka is OK. In case of asset losses, the crews can join infantry in completing objectives. On day 2 you will get an arsenal and you'll be able to play dress-up within russian gear. All the assets that you found can be used to your advantage, assets requiring specialized crew (IFVs, tanks, aircraft) are provided to you with proper slots in sign-up. I'm just worried that they will need a lot of time. They have been working on this for years now and didn't even add those basic features before launching the game.

I'm glad to see they are not goving up after that failure of a launch. Maybe soon it might be an actually viable option for mil-sim gamers.

We are almost out of free spots. If there are three or four people more who still want to join I'll make another 4 men squad. Also, I forgot to mention, we'll do the training session for everyone interested around an hour before the update. Edit: added slots for reserve squad if anyone is interested

Parachute in the cover of darkness and land NE of the airbase. It has been reinforced with a FOB and some checkpoints in anticipation of an invasion. Take the airfield and defend it from enemy reinforcements. It's up to you to decide if the task is as easy as it sounds. I'm interested how you feel about a campaign. I have 5 missions planned out for you if you are interested. If not, no hard feelings will make this a single mission and move on. You will start with some pretty standard russian kit on day 1. After that you will get resupplied before day 2 which means you will get an arsenal and you'll be able to play dress-up within russian gear. All the assets that you find can be used to your advantage, assets requiring specialized crew (IFVs, tanks, aircraft) will be provided to you with proper slots in sign-up for the next day. There will be weapon cashes for you to loot and add gear to your arsenal for the next day. More in the brief before the mission. I don't think there's a need for a "noob" modifier. It's still just a suggestion and we should be able to tell if that suggestion is good for the current team or not. Also if we find that the suggested maps are too hard or too easy, we can just ask for suggestions for a map with 5 players less for example.

As a part of Operation Desert Storm your unit is tasked with pushing back Saddam's forces back and destroying every enemy vehicle and installation in your AO. The enemy is weak after weeks of highly successful coalition air campaign. The enemy air-force is gone, conscript units are deserting and enemy armor force is having problems not exploding. The ground campaign has been very successful so far but now it's time to face the best of Iraq's army. OBJECTIVE: A large group of enemy forces has been spotted close to your AO. While the main force keeps the enemy in place your unit, being a small detachment, is tasked with capturing a forward base close to some oil storage facilities and a small military airport. Tactically important positions have been weakened by air and arty support and the airport's runway has been bombed and mined by coalition air-forces.
