  1. I asked Arab to see if we can delete the decay on assets. If this decay is removed it should be possible to shovel a fob by one person. it will also allow to exit an sparking asset without blowing up. However other projects such as smoke for bots took priority over this. For bots. I could modify the live server files to tweak the botsettings to make them more lethal. (Fix cas bombs and ai target values so they actually kill stuff rather then giving an air show). However I do not have permission to modify these files on the VG server so these changes cannot be done. My current workaround is to modify the official server files and await an update to apply them. This will means that the changes I made will take quite some time to take affect as updates tend to happen slowly. i would still suggest to upper the bots to 60 to have more enemies to fight. This with the knowledge that a bot takes 2.5 min to respawn explains why maps can be steamrolled.
  2. Simple answer no. Complicated answer you could run in debug mode with a debug account. However you need to play in windowed mode and even then the error might not be registered. This added with the 100 to 200 errors per min coop normally generates makes it kinda impossible to track what’s the cause of the crash. If you can systematic redo the crash you can simply report the steps and the devs could look at it
  3. crisis requires us (VG) to make it, and besides a select few (melon, fastjack, Double_13) do PR modding. And i wish BF3 could be properly modded but you know, EA rather makes money then make a good game.
  4. I am always doubtful with this due to delays. You have an input delay and a feedback delay. Unless these are stable and low it is highly doubtful. I stream quite some games to my TV using steamlink and yes it is quite good but even then I can notice some shutters, and this is on local network (fully CAT7 shielded wire)
  5. Yes this should be fixed. The python coding defines that humans could not use any asset that had the code _sp in them. However the emplacements also contained this and this prevented humans from using them. This bug was caused by the new coop vehicle group _PRSP that I am making. however due to miscommunication the _SP assets also got tweaked while they shouldn’t have. These _prsp assets are unlike the current asset 100% made for bots and cannot be operated by humans. The backing reason for this new group is that _SP is used by deployment vehiclewarefare and so I cannot optimise then. The new assets have some small tweaks as no warmup delay and no fire delay. This as bots have problems keeping the mouse clicked to fire (for example: the Milan bots use does not have hold click). Additional transport slots are removed (so no 8 bots in 1 BMP3) and weapon templates are changed to be compatible for bots using smoke. (Currently working on bots not seeing to smoke bla bla bla that’s all I’ll spoil for now) all just to make your lives on the server more hard xD
  6. Outpost crash reason is not defines so I put it under random crash unless it happens more often. (Please keep track where in the map and what (ingame) time) the other 3 issues are server related config settings
  7. PR contains no bugs only unplanned features “quote entire Dev team” outpost is missing a CA, as result no mumble. Is been fixed for next update along with some other “features” that didn’t behaved as they should’ve. the bluefor chopper might get shot in main. I am going to see how this will evolve before patching it. Note that map is of similar construction as Shahadah so you must destroy emplacements and assets as bots can always spawn on them (up to 5 flags back have spawnpoints on them)

  12. It is not broken it is a feature. Like I did break Shahadah STD but the map was overplayed so it is good to put it in the icebox. (Just fucked up the layers should be fixed next update)
  13. Yep it wont work. you could change the parameters but that would be way way to much work. Loading the game into your RAM (ramdrive) will speed it up quite fast) also forcing PR to run on any other core then 0 could speed it up (affinity)
  14. The loading times are not dependent on your connection speed but on your harddrive speed. To explain this. on the same network (ping of 14ms to VG server) my old computer (1th gen SSD) loading time 2 min my old game pc (until Friday (ramdrive PR)) loading time 55 sec my MacBook 40 seconds my new computer (2 Samsung 970 pro in raid 0) loading time 20 seconds. (note that I do expect you have a reasonable CPU that can handle the game) my network didn’t change but my loading times did. So your argument that loading depends on the server is totally invalid. The only increase portforwarding and fixing your internal IP (NOT PUBlC) is that programs as mumble could be a micro second faster as they do not pass thought your firewall. (As mumble is loaded all the time this does not affect your loading speed) The game is packed into zip files (9gb core) and when loading the map (1gb) it needs to unpack the map and load the content. The faster your drive can do this, the faster you load and can connect to the server and receive additional data as player info (this is done in the spawn menu) a way to reduce lag is remove the main menu movie (cus it is loaded even when you play) and in some some situations installing Reshade could boost it (mixed results some systems go faster other go slower)
  15. Yea outpost is broken because a other dev changed some spawners and stuff. i can’t fix it at the moment due to PReditor not working on windows 10. I have to install a virtual machine to get it working

  17. its not about donations or server its about the config in the game itself. If you wish to contribute then contribute to the community. another good way to contribute without paying is work out ideas/maps that I could make. The ideas do not need o be limited to only events but can also be about remaking the current maps. on falklands deployment has air warfare. Because of the bots do not care about the navmesh in air vehicles I should be able to copy the entire map and make it run bots on the other side. However in practice this is not working yet. Falklands is an exception because the entire map is not playable with inf due to the terrain details been set to ULTRA LOW due to its size. This allows me to make the ONLY official vehicle warfare map on coop
  18. I am actually working on a official vehicle warfare on falklands but due to crashes I abandoned it for now. I shall see if I can pick it up again

    Probably dualboot but it depends. I probably install windows 10 or windows server 2016. At work i was kinda forced to use windows 10 and with enough poking in regedit its not that bad. but this would be much better
  20. Well I kinda agree with you, the extraction missions are more a test on how to make it and does it work. I have huge doubts about it due to the bots and the fact others (non regulars) can/should join). I know ted made one but i never had the chance to play it and No clue how to set it up yet The vehicle warfare are quite easy to make (30 min) orso. The main advantage of this is that i can generate 10 of them in 2/3 days and then we have sufficient for a saltysunday. The main advantage is that i can recycle them and on sundays you can just pick one of X number of them because they dont need an admin to explain the rules and so. Specialised events are less likely going to happen due to the time i have to spend on them. The only special events that might happen are playing non official PR maps. However currently i am busy enough with all the fixes i have to make for PR. (redo all the coop maps/ remake all the assets to bot compatible not even to mention WW2)

    Cus its not really needed according to what i searched up. I no longer need to ramdrive my games as the m.2 is fast enough (yes people i still use ramdrive) If any I can always shove more ram in it. I am thinking of buying an PCI express m.2 drive and add a Samsung evo 960 2TB in it for more storage. (the 2 slots on the board already taken) But i rather wait for the prices to drop a bit.
