You should try this mod. http://www.moddb.com/mods/discovery-freelancer It's giant and awesome. Still there's a lot of people playing in it online. It's kinda like lite version of EVE Online. And yeah, you can play online in pirated game.

Well, some guys are worrying about this Comanche screenshot, and there's a rumor on BI forums that game will be set in 2025. I think we need more official info. Hope it won't be too futuristic and "experimental".

Played in some of those. I think my favourite is a Barbaross to Berlin. Shock Force with addons was pretty good too. Haven't tried this one yet. @Bones, what do you think about Close Combat series?

You need the vcredist_x86.exe installed if you get errors while starting the game Also try to disable your antivirus software, it may mess with game files.
