Just saying that if the files were compressed using the "self-extracting" option then a double click is all that's needed to extract the files. No "un-zipping" software needed.
I still can't work out why there is/was an issue with the event files. I got 7 WIN installed and it worked fine. Just not in time to get into the match. (sad face)

Yup that's why I always install the maps well before the event and test them in local to see if they work.

  2. For me the Ramiel event was probably the best because it was quite a challenge to defend the Black Hawk crash sites with only a few infantry at times.

The other three events were a bit too easy for the skill base we had on the night but ramping up the Bots would fix that issue.

I liked the idea of no spawning on the SL, which gives the TRANS squad more to do bringing players back to the front-lines, that was great.

Yes you could add more vehicles or CAS but THEN it would probably turn into a CAS festival with very little for the infantry to do.

We could do a Desert Storm event on Kashan or Khamisiyah, Tank Battalions, APC Battalions, AAVs, Logistical Support (TRANS & Logis) and Infantry to cap flags or bunkers. against MiG-29's and SU-25s, and a decent opposing Armored Division.

  3. Ok, the BMS challenge of the week is to sink the Russian Carrier the Kuznetsov. We'll be flying this mission as a drill this weekend. If you are not familiar with using AGM-84A Harpoons, complete Mission 20 in the BMS Manual before attempting it, that Carrier is bad ass!

Extract the following Training Engagement files to your BMS directory at:  ..\Falcon BMS 4.35\Data\Campaign

    TE_BMS_TASMO_Kuznetsov.zip

    Victory conditions

I've noticed in the last few weeks several new players enter our Mike Force server but they dont have TFAR enabled nor do they know about using the TS plugin. They tend to leave.

I've also been on more populated Mike Force servers where they are not using TFAR at all, and even though they are less coordinated overall they still have the numbers. Can we at least try lifting the TFAR requirement for a bit and see if that helps to populate our server? Sure if we're going to run an event on the Mike Force server enforce TFAR but for most people its a pain in the ass, can we switch it off and just use vanilla ARMA 3 comms?

You can check server uptime from the time/date the service was last started (this includes restarts) so you can know to avoid 'false positives' for regular fog which I assume would pass as normal in time:

Roger that, I don't have a problem with fog while I'm on the ground, its rather fun actually but I'll know for next time when this bug happens.

  6. Ok let me start this thread off. For those who don't know I'm Kavelenko or people just call me "KAV". I've been flying Falcon 4.0 BMS since roughly October 2016 or thereabouts. I spend most of my gaming time either playing Project Reality or flying BMS. These two games couldn't be so far apart from each other, PR is pretty easy to play but requires good team work whereas BMS is a whole different ball game. I'm pretty much self taught, although credit has to go to @=VG= SemlerPDX who helped me to get started with his tutorials, helpful tips, and training flights.

I started out following the Training Engagements in the BMS manual, watching YouTube videos, and just plain crashing and screwing up big-time. This flight sim is not for everyone and I've noticed that the fall out rate is high due to the steep learning curve needed to get anywhere. I enjoy mainly air to ground missions but also don't mind the odd dog fight with a stray MiG-29.

The Jets I fly are the F-16 and the AV-8B Harrier but these days I concentrate more on the F-16.

  7. The Alternative Launcher is handy once installed but it does override any keyfile that you have set, I just use the BMS - Full profile and adjust whatever key mappings I want in the HOTAS columns, you can see the default keyboard short cuts here as well. The cursor directions I set in the avionics panel via the setup page in BMS but you could do it here if for some reason the program was not detecting your throttle controller.
