  1. ARMA 3 EVENT - Operation Slayer |Day1|

    until
Operation Slayer |Day1| Arma 3 Event 6th June 2020 2100 HRS -GMT Max 20 Players Small Operation - 1 to 2 Hours Long BRIEF : After a catastrophic defeat NATO forces were forced to abandon Chernarus back in 2015. The peacekeepers were driven out of the island by the R.E.D (Russian elite division). Now in the year 2020, with the change of NATO command, a small battalion, mostly consisted of US operatives, is set to infiltrate a small island of Chernarus to eliminate one of the head commanders of the R.E.D and so, to deliver the first strike against the enemy. Objective : The SOCOM units whom have already been dispatched on the island will first destroy the radar and the ammo caches on the island to prevent the fast rearm of the enemy units on the island. After their job will be to either regroup with the diver team and kill the HVT or go assassinate the commander on their own. Diver teams will insert on the island and clean any remaining forces while searching for the HVT. Expect retaliation! 2. ARMA 3 EVENT - Operation Orthodox

    until
Operation Orthodox Arma 3 Event 30th May 2020 20:00 HRS - ZULU TIME (GMT) Max 20 Players Large Operation - 2 to 3 Hours Long I'd like to thank Blizzard for putting so much work onto making this mission. Without him this event probably would have been delayed another century. Thanks for those who tested it out too. -Sausage3 EVENT BRIEF: While the Soviet Union and the Germans were fighting each other in Poland, late 1944. Their fighting tactics were more desperate and more fierce. Both sides used Scorched Earth tactics against each other which inevitably resulted in the destruction of some Orthodox churches. This in turn angered the Orthodox population, As the population had nothing better to do they gathered a small platoon of armed priests. Small, but holy shit were they fierce, Not one man had the balls to stand up against the power of the priest. Some say that a group of priests once raided a company HQ and baptized them with lightning bolts and 50. Cal bullets. They are not to be messed with. Objective: Using the recently captured airfield. Use teamwork to assault and secure multiple objectives. There are some additional side objectives that can be completed to benefit your team. Due to lack of accurate intelligence we only know briefly that both factions have AT Capabilities, Heavy Anti Air Weaponry, Heavy Armour, Half tracks and machine guns. Numbers Unknown. Due to this there will be scouting missions in each objective to be able to reorganize and prepare for assault. Infantry and Vehicle Respawns are going to be limited, so scout, listen to orders and fight effectively to have the highest chance of making it out alive. Only the squad leader will have access to a radio to communicate to high command and nearby squad leaders. With TFAR and ACE enabled you WILL need to stick together, listen carefully and encourage teamwork. You will have a high commander in charge (=VG= Sausage3), he is responsible to assigning you tasks, issuing you assets, re-arming you, etc. However he cannot assume everything so always communicate with the commander if you require any support. MODS: Please use this link and subscribe to all the mods required for the event - DOWNLOAD AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2108212540 TFAR - If you have not got it set up, you will need to download a plugin for your teamspeak. Please see forum post for complete details, including a TFAR Radio tutorial awesomely made by Binkle the habibi, and to sign up for a role:
  3. SQUAD Saturdays (Public Event)

    until
WEEKLY OPERATIONS EVENTS (SQUAD) EVERY Saturday! 19:00:00 ZULU (GMT/UTC/PRT) No Password Required - Anyone can join Max 80 Players On Event! EVENT BRIEF: Due to the last squad events being amazing successes, we will now take the squad server much further than before. We will now make squad events every weekend. So that everyone has knowledge of when our community is gathered and playing together. This also gives an opportunity to seed our server out on the wide range of other squad servers. Letting other players join the game and build a new player base. This means that we have 1 week to rectify all the rules that we need that are important to gameplay. So whoever is writing the new "Squad Holy Bible". Please get the most essential rules laid out first. Please meet in TS prior to start of event. To login to the =VG= server launch Squad and select CUSTOM BROWSER, SET Filters > Show Empty Servers, Show Full Servers. OBJECTIVE: More details will be posted here closer to the event -- stand by. ASSETS AVAILABLE: Depending on Map set - Will update in future Complete Details and Signups will be posted here prior to each event: (default forum section with past events: https://veterans-gaming.com/index.php?/forums/forum/296-squad/)
  4. Project Reality VIP Rescue Event

    until
VIP Rescue 23.11.2019 1800 PRT Server PW : XXXXXX (Hostage takers (2) : If you are interested in playing as hostage taker, send me a PM on the VG site.) If anyone is interested in commanding BLUEFOR, then feel free to apply as well. It's been a while, but but it's time for a new round of COOP events. With the 1.6 just around the corner, it's logistically not practical to do any huge events due to the sheer amount of changes the update brings, but we can still do some of the smaller scale ones, so here we go. VIP Rescue event : PLEASE READ COMPLETE DETAILS HERE -
  5. VincentJames96 Memorial - 24 Hours at Muttrah

    until
VincentJames96 Annual Memorial - 24 Hours at Muttrah 06.22.2020 0600 PRT In remembrance of our dear departed friend H8CrazyVet67, also known in games as VincentJames96, whom we lost in 2018, we will be hosting a 24 hour event based around his favorite map. All map layers will be included in the rotation. Please join us as we remember the good times we had with our old friend. In game messages will help inform our regular players of this change, but please be patient with those who do not notice and may complain, and kindly explain this temporary event to them so they may know to conduct themselves with respect accordingly, or to choose to play on another server for the remainder of the day. Thank you!
  6. How to connect to the VG Falcon BMS 4.34 Server Campaign with IVC Enabled NOTE: The Minimum Client Bandwidth Requirement is now 1500 as of March 25th 2018 NOTE: Our IP Address has changed! As of September 2017, the new VG BMS Server IP is: 205.161.30.10 ALSO NOTE: The server will now be 64-bit Version -- All players must launch with 64-bit BMS! IVC is the amazing comms system used by Falcon BMS. It functions in game very similar to the UHF and VHF Radios onboard many modern aircraft, has preset channels covering specific frequencies, and allows for custom channels to be set for private communications. The COMMS Hat on the Throttle Quadrant of the F-16 has a UHF and VHF Transmit button, altogether working in a familiar way like Push to Talk on a VOIP Server like TeamSpeak 3. It has been around for awhile, and many players have gotten used to it - so much so that TS3 isn't even needed (being mostly modeled with the in-game comms system). Things have changed slightly for IVC use in Falcon BMS 4.34, for complete audio device selection options, IVC should be launched prior to launching the game if setting custom audio input or output, and the IP must be entered in-game under the Comms tab for the Server IVC prior to joining the Campaign Server as shown below. If you use Default Windows Audio Device for IVC (and BMS), you do not need to launch IVC prior to launching BMS. Refer to the BMS Manual for complete details on new features such as IFF and ATC, etc. Jeffu has highlighted many new features in his blog post here: Connection Instructions, with pictures to help bridge the language barrier Current Server Version: 4.34.4 (U4) *Bypass Step 1 if you are using Windows Default Audio Device for both IVC and BMS: go to Step 2 Step 1:* Launch the 4.34 IVC Client Software via the BMS 4.34 Main Launcher or the application found in the folder shown -You do not need to enter the IP here, or your Nickname -Ensure your Audio Devices are properly set as desired -DO NOT CLICK CONNECT on the IVC Window!! You can just minimize the IVC window *images shown use my file path for a 2nd hard drive on older version - use the proper file paths for your PC Step 2: Ensure 64-bit is selected in the BMS 4.34 Main Launcher, and click Launch at the top: *images shown use my file path for a 2nd hard drive on older version - use the proper file paths for your PC Step 3: Click on COMMS along the top, and create an entry for VETERANS-GAMING just like the image below. -Enter IP into 'Connect to IP Address': 205.161.30.10 -Connection Bandwidth must be 1500 -IVC Enable and IVC Automatic Gain Control must be green (active) -Dedicated IVC Server IP must be entered here -Click SAVE to add the entry to your COMMS Book. -Click CONNECT when finished Step 4: Once connection is established, click on CAMPAIGN along the top -Click ONLINE -Click on VETERANS-GAMING Step 5: Select the Airbase on the map on the right - click the one circled, Seosan Airbase. (fly here, or fly at busy airbases at your discretion, see list below) -Ensure 120th Squadron is highlighted in green -Click COMMIT ONLINE on the bottom right Step 6: Do not change anything on the RULES OF ENGAGEMENT Window, just click OK at the bottom right Step 7: You are now in the server, your physical location is Seosan, South Korea and you are required to assign yourself your own mission(s). You can even task AI Flights to support you, or attach yourself to an AI Flight or Human Flight somewhere in the world. At the top of the screen, the COMMS Tab will show you any other pilots on the server - you can text message here or once in game you can press Shift + T to text chat (useful for IVC setup and troubleshooting). As the Fragging of Flights is a subject all it's own, you will need to watch tutorial(s) on YouTube for instructions if you do not know how. Special Note: You can see now that Falcon flight packages can be assigned to do most anything in the digital war, but remember: This is NOT Command & Conquer or Wargame! DO NOT frag AI flights to accomplish player goals! You may frag AI flights to support you on your specific mission, within reason (do not assign 12 AI aircraft to protect you on a deep strike just for extra cover, for example). The complex way that the AI frags it's own flights to support the proper flow of the online campaign depends on us not messing with it too much. The VG BMS Campaign is an attempt to balance the AI war with needed Human interaction, we have specifically grounded certain AI squadrons to allow players to take on a more active role in certain parts of the war. Please respect these rules on our server and thank you for flying with us! Either of these tutorials will give you the skills you need; watching both may benefit you by covering bits here and there that the other one may have missed or glossed over, and may give you a better understanding of the entire concept.
