It had finished over writing the files, but I forgot to start the server xD. Then I posted this and was like oh... -

I recently took down the teamspeak 3 server and updated it to the latest version.
The server is now up and running, those who are having any trouble connecting after the update please post in the thread.

Jangman is now a member of the VG clan and will be wearing the VG tag. We have your admin status in both website and teamspeak but not the gameservers yet. We will wait till you are playing, grab your hash and add it.

Lol a hotfix is just supposed to be the files edited for download, not the whole game.
For example if you edited script1.pl and script2.pl in order to fix something for the game, you simply just put them up for download for the hotfix and users overwrite the old ones with the new.
@whoever asked A dedicated server is possible yeah. -
Things that could be changed,
Spawn time increase of zombies disabled. IE allow them to keep respawning every 5 seconds or something.
A HUMAN zombie, ie a player who died and cant spawn as survivor and is playing as a zombie, can pick up kits. When I was playing I just picked up a shotgun kit and started shooting enemy survivors. -
I can't believe how much has been changed without writing any code.

How are others going to play it, without others having modified client files?
Where do users connect without having a server running server files? Unless you host the game on your pc. -
Keep in mind these are just the client files you are editing though.
I think for this to be successful there is going to HAVE to be programming involved.
The number of things that need to be changed is quite big and can only be done by altering code...
Otherwise you will end up with a foggy map and regular PR bots running around with guns.
I have since been looking into making mods for bf2. An actual mod like pr, for example, on the server we would have /bf2/mods/przombie and on our pc it would need to be installed as a mod, and go into bf2/mods/przombie. We could use PR, but alter some code to allow it to be a different mod. Only thing is, would need pr's permission to do so, since we are basicly taking their mod and changing it. -

All VG members have admin. Sponsorship is not done to decide which players get admin, but which players are allowed to wear the =VG= tag.
VG members set an example for gaming, we help new players ease into project reality and try to be a valued community that other players look up to.
With that being said, there are some players that do not follow the standards that we set, bend and break the rules and cause a nuisance on the server.
In this case VG members are to remove these players from our servers to allow everyone who plays in our servers to be able to do so without being interrupted by some goon in a little bird shooting friendlies.
This is why all members of VG are required to have admin power on the server. -
Lol unfortunately its not that simple. Clan members are the ones you see in game with =VG= and are admins in the servers. ALL =VG= members have admin powers in ALL servers and in teamspeak. Other affiliated members/clans like WCC whilst not a member of the VG clan still have server admin power in servers and what not. To join VG you have to be recommended to join by a VG member and then ALL VG members must approve. A single no means no entry.
Usually VG members must be 18 years of age or older however this rule can be waived should younger members show maturity whilst playing in the server.
VG members have been known to recommend other members to join VG that participate in community website and forums, frequently on teamspeak with us and gaming with us.
