when you install BF2 you need to navigate the exe to the Steam directory. It should look something like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\battlefield 2

Whitewolf is pretty savvy with gear maybe he'll post up something useful. I'm using 5870's and I struggle with some newer games, so stay away from those.
