  1. If you have WC3 we could play over LAN, but the dota1 bots are pretty hard and you would probably hate it lol. They make me pretty mad sometimes not to mention the item store is a pain to navigate. he dota2 bots you can put on insanely easy modes so you can learn, that isnt a problem. You can even put them on passive where they dont even leave the lane and basically just stand there. lol

    ARMA Mods

you need teamspeak for acre to work correctly, that might be the problem
  3. Hey guys, I've posted this before in the shoutbox a few times, but I've got 2 guest copies of Dota2 beta if anyone wants to play with me. They're full passes which means they last until the beta ends which isnt going to be for months if not a year or so. If you want to know more about the game, Here is a video of two amazing teams at this tournament held last year, a million dollar prize offered by Valve as a sort of marketing tournament for the launch of the beta. Dota2 is more or less an exact port of Dota1, with some small updates to the shop, inventory, and UI, the base mechanics of Dota1 that made it completely famous are all still all in place. You can play as one of many, many heroes, all with different abilities. You play in a 5v5 setup, which can either be a custom lobby with mixed bots/humans, online matchmaking of 5 players vs bots, or full on 5v5 PvP. The only requirement is that you need a steam account. The game runs on the source engine so hardware shouldnt be an issue. Let me know if you'd like to play, and preferably if you're serious about playing it as I only have 2 passes.
  4. fireteam 2 started with 4, then savage had problems, then coldinfreezin had problems, so it was me leading sam. we basically stuck with our SL Semler and cleared the first town without problems. arrived in elektro, suffered some high casualties on arrival but somehow pushed through. Had this pretty cool and realistic moment thanks to ACRE when the remaining people all gathered in the middle of the town, where we met with Calv and had to try to reshuffle the fireteams and get comms all sorted out due to the heavy casualties and loss of SL and FTLs. Once regrouped, basically into 1-2 fireteams led by Calv, we pushed through the rest of town. encountered a tunguska at the end of the town that we had no weapons to destroy with, due to engaging vodniks in the previous town. Left it alone and moved to the last town. we again took heavy fire upon dismount, especially in form of grenades. lost a couple people there. Had a tunguska on the beach which forced a slow crawl into the northern side of the town. cleared the town with little contact and doubled back so PITN could try to satchel the tunguska. He slowly crawled into position while we aimed at it to try to distract it if the turret targeted him. he planted the satchel and crawled back. The satchel did nothing but disable the gun, and it drove off angrily despite the 30 M203 grenades we then shot at it. We loaded back up and drove to the final RV. Overall went really well id say. we still managed to clear towns with a small amount of troops and somehow held the comms together very nicely. The beginning of the mission didnt go smooth at all, many problems not even with the game but internet and real life issues.
  5. Note for future missions: more AT is needed, and a satchel only pisses off a tunguska
  6. I get 200-300ms ping on the US servers as well. i havent noticed any latency problems so either their latency display is off or it doesnt seem to affect anything. my gamertag is Terremer#1384. lv 27 witch doctor, just started act 3 not too long ago. Also i got a torchlight 2 beta invite for this weekend. lol.
  7. oooh i love STHUD i first used it when we played unsung and i forgot what it was called! Also i should be able to join, im still waiting on my work schedule so i might get scheduled. I guess put me as a maybe. i'll do any role, but preferably not FTL, mainly cause im not 100% sure i'll be able to attend.
  8. when is this going to be, some time this week?
  9. id be down to spot or something i like sneaking around and gathering intel.
  10. its true man we had a few days we played like 8 hours straight or whatever, lol
  11. im down castor I get what you're trying to say. just some regular play with the same people to get familiar with the squad. for example i've played loads of insurgency with Lupago as my squad lead and now we can play together easily because we know how each other works. but yeah i think doing that for the events isnt going to work for said reasons. im always down to play organized groups though.
  12. have an interview at 2 but should by back by 3 when it starts. all set up, just joined the server.
  13. for sure man i should be on tomorrow, i like testing things
  14. Id love to mess around in the editor especially with scripts amd such, ive been trying to screw around on it but with only phone net to look up info with i got frustrated
  15. cool, thanks for the ace links guys
  16. on the same note, lupago and I would like them as well, as weve been on the server an insane amount this week and it would be nice for the occasional rulebreaker or for restarting the server. and yes we've been playing all that time with murderface as well and i agree that he should get admin rights.
  17. i would absolutely love a basic ace training session as ive had the mod a week now and havent even gotten to play it. i understand that events probably will not have it for a while as some people are still learning the basics of the unmodded game. also i thought the training mission was nice yesterday, good work.
  18. sign me up. also along with what he said, id love to play with ace and such as i havent gotten a chance to play with it yet.
  19. ive played it a bunch of times but if you cant find anyone else id jump in. its pretty fun with 4 people but starts to lose its charm after the first playthrough
  20. i personally need to work on moving slower and using more tactics, ive played the majority of my hours on arma either solo or with 1 or 2 people where we either snipe or rambo it into the town. it's fun but not great for widescale operations.
  21. i think the lack of organization was due to having a large amount of random players in the server. if we have a large enough turnout to where we can close the server to our community, i think that we could organize much easier. at the same time, leaving the server open could show some new/other players how we roll and they might turn out to be regular players on the server. i think that if we want a highly structured and planned game we would have to plan in advance and likely lock the server. having large open events is still fun though since theres just so many players on the server.
  22. heres a few screenshots i took: playing some zombie mod afterwards with poff semler solar and tortilla:
