that sounds like a dns or routing problem. do you have several networks or something in this direction?

if you often have a problem with mumble try to disable under options "voip" and see if it gets better.

If your internet connection is not good and you are using other programs that go online, then it could be because of that. if pr a second can not renew data you're out. I have that with the mobile more often.

try if that is synonymous on other servers...

you must probably try to narrow down the problem.

I have to mention that I am recently also getting some minor lag spikes even with a ping of 11. The FPS sticks nice at 40 (fixed setting) but I rubberband like 1 second backwards.

Maybe it is related maybe not but not had it before and nothing on my end changed

sometimes i have that too. on three different computers, with three different types of good internet connections. (mobile, 400mbit UM, 16mbit T).

That must be the game itself or the server.

Here are a few approaches that may help:

Update:
Turning my sound quality to "low" seems to help the problem... I don't see the "connection problem" message anymore but it's still jerky here and there.. not good enough to play reliably.

Same here. I MAY have fixed it by turning sound quality to low (EAX still activated, don't know if there even is EAX on low).

Why that should fix a connection problem is beyond my understanding confused.gif

this sounds stupid but apparently it helped a few people:

The one you get in the middle of the screen during play which is yellow is the one I'm talking to press ESC and then wait 2 seconds and press ESC again and your connection somehow is restored. Works for me.

it could also be due to your router or windows firewall:

This worked for me, I was getting the "**UDP Flood to Host**" in my security log and I disabled my firewall in the router. Joined a 55 player server, thanks so much!

Turning off my firewall has now completely fixed my "connection problem".

Why that works is unclear; it could be a RAM, port, or pb check issue. Running without a firewall isn't recommended, but it's the only way I can play without constant connection warnings and disconnects.

but you should turn back on the firewall as soon as possible.

all out of this thread: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18371

It could also be that your cpu is sometimes overloaded and has peaks in which it comes to connnection problems. You could try to look in the task manager when it comes back or you get a program that records the cpu-usage.
