  1. Ok, I did not notice you are renting server space. I presumed you owned the server. I checked the prices at hetzner Savage and it offers a lot of value for the money. It adds up real quickly when you want a bit more reliability, my god. I think my solution will cost small fortune there. And yes SolarFlame, raid five is used when you want more efficiecy on space, but when you need little space it does not benefit you. I also do not think you don't know what your are doing or what you are talking about. My apologies if I made that intention.
  2. Software raid 1 is terrible guys! It's slow and costs CPU performance. It would help if you install a hardware raid controller and at least raid 5 with 3 disks or more. With raid 6 you can have two disks to fail. Add a hotswap cage as well and you wont have any downtime when facing disk problems... :) I don't want to sound like a mr know-it-all, but I happen to be a network engineer by profession. If you need any help of somekind, I would be happy to help you out. I'm going to donate some cash this month, I hope this will help. (and hope you will upgrade the server in the future as well :) I know how much money these things cost! Good Luck
  3. Is the Opfor event right now or what? A couple of guys are on the other team for some time. Maybe an admin see this and can deal with it. See screenshots for proof. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_Ic9wM3yOrXT0NZbkJFT3N6ZVE/edit?usp=sharing https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_Ic9wM3yOrXRjgxN2FFM3lscUU/edit?usp=sharing the names: =TSF= Tuncx =TSF= Breacher Lapiux loolilooli1 cheers, Sledge
  4. The last Opfor event a couple of months ago was fun. I look forward to a next event with all the new PR1.0 stuff, especially Khamisiyah!! (beautiful map).
  5. Pumps of liquid coolers can make a lot of noise
  6. Ok T.E.D.F , did not know that. I'm going the check if I have the same issue and edit my post if so. If that's the way pr operates now they really locked things up.
  7. Is see you can buy an ASUS Rampage Extreme IV on proshop.dk. It is an expensive mobo, but it's powerfull and versatile. I don't know if it's any good with water cooling. I personally don't use fluids in my computer. for review see: http://us.hardware.info/productinfo/134932/asus-rampage-iv-extreme
  8. Hi Everyone, New to PR 1.0 is the auto update feature that checkes if you need an update before starting the game. This is a major improvement and and takes away the fuzz of downloading it manually. Updates are brought out almost daily now. This has a downside however. If you update your're client (local pr install of the game) and the server runs on older version, then you won't find the server in you're list in PR. This is logic client/server stuff , the version has to be the same in order to play. EDIT: forget about the routine below, it's not working (anymore?) If you skip the client update you won't be able to log to any server. The following message appears when you try to access a server: ?nline restriction: Joining public servers is restricted at this time. You will just have to wait untill you''re favorite server gets updated, and if it takes long notify and admin, although I think they always know it before you do ;) /EDIT Here's a simple routine for you to use if you want to be sure that you can play on you''re favorite server: * When you start up PR 1.0.XX and you see there is an update available. Note it, and Cancel the update * Check out which version the VG Coop Server (or any of your favorite servers) is running by going to http://www.realitymod.com/prspy/. You can check the version in the upper left corner. (See Screenhot) * If the version matches the one you already have installed: Don''t update! If the server version is newer, then you should update. * If you see the server is outdated, let the admins know about it by PM or TS3 * If you update before the server is updated, then... bad luck. You will have to wait untill the admins have the time to fix it. * If you are playing on the VG server and are disconnected for a while, also check PR Spy on realitymod.com to see if the server is updated. Update your client and you're back on. That's it, I hope you now know when to update to start playing on the VG Coop server. 9. Hi HVR1, Just discovered you're post. mwhahaha LOL. Nice collection of silly stuff and good comment ;)
  10. PR 1.0 is really something, finally!! The most greatest and best release ever. However some issues are still not fixed and I reported them during the Beta Week. Headphones do not mute speaker, Game options still show strange control labels... I hope they will fix it in the next update.
  11. I agree with Shilling that the server need more admins around. To many newbies disregards the server rules and disrupt the gameplay for the more serious players. He's always around on the Coop server and is a respectfull player and always abide the server rules. For what it's worth, I think he will do great as and admin. You got my vote Shilling! Cheers, Sledge
