Blud, yeah I noticed, this is of course of secondary importance :)

@ks080, unfortunately that is impossible, we don't give admins even to some friends of our clan, so you cannot get one at this point.
stay playing, remain active both here and on our TS3 channel we could talk about it,
just remember that it will take a loong time to get that trust that you are required to have for those admin rights. -
Updated post, we will be doing this with land vehicles mainly, air support very limited.SavageCDN =VG= LAN_WROTE ...
Should be able to make it. If you mean the Insurgency DAP mission on the server I haven't had a good look at it yet.. might need some work. If you can, test it out with some players and see how it runs.
- are there enough AI to fight?
- how does the mission run with a lot of players?
- more/less player slots?
- what needs to be added (ie: VAS ammo system, radio script, more transport, etc)?
I'd prefer to not force any mods server-side due to the issues involved with the alpha... maybe we can keep it to client-side mods for now?
Yeah we played some INS and it was massive fun, the current version of it works, but if there is a newer version of it I wont fight back.
- For 12-13 yes, for 32? no, added amount would make the experience better, unsure how it affects server stability
- As Instant stated, 12 or more players in insurgency seems to work.
On public servers (server was almost full, 32 players I think?) it seems to crash but I have a feeling it is caused by throwables.
- Keep the same amount, I dont think we will get +30 ATM, due to me not advertising in the netz
- more MH-9s, more armored cars.
Well you know the best Sav :) client side mods only.SavageCDN =VG= LAN_WROTE ...
We also have the option of using the radio script (now in DWS mission)
we tried that and it seems a bit clunky, also has some bugs which will make life difficult :P
- In short: lets leave it out. -
Event will take place in our ARMA 3 private server on the island of Stratis,
and mission will be insurgency as a warm up and domination,
at 19:00 GMT on Saturday the 6th of April.
Password will be given in TS3.
The basic idea is large scale organized gameplay. (for anyone who hasn't played with us before)
We will be doing this mission using mainly land vehicles, Cars that is, Air support will be limited.
Please post if you'd like to join so we can organize the teams properly (in/out will do),
the event is open for anyone who wants to join (d'uh :D)
More details will follow with a possible mod list. (A3 is being patched all the time so..)
Please remember that this game is still on Alpha stage, errors and bugs will occur as well as crashing.
basicly my idea is to give us SQLs tools to effectively divide the squad into buddy teams.
SQL + Medic, Buddyteam 1
Explosives expert/Repair specialist + Rifleman, BT 2
AR + AT, BT 3

All units.

Remember to upload SThud for the event! it helps A LOT. -
I agree on the current loadout with a few exceptions
Riflemen = no GPS, or anykind of binocs
FTLs = binocs, no GPS
SQLs and above (+ special personnel) = rangefinders + GPSs -
I'm in!
EDIT: deleting old comment. -
good idea murder!
-
will there be weapon jamming/overheating?
-
what do you guys think, will my computer run this one on full graph. settings?
CPU: Intel i7 920
Graphics card: Radeon HD 6790 CoolStream
RAM: 6gp -
would be interested in joining an PR event!
unfortunately ATM my only way to get into the internetz is by phone.
ill probably get my PC back after the finals,
which is... i dunno.
I know what you mean ted but progress is progress!
even if we come play PR from time to time we still want to play the newest stuff due to it being newest,
PR just wont keep us interested for a longer period :/ -
-
@semler, true.. computers do silly stuff from time to time
-
oh sorry robot, I was referring to Riddles post :)
-
I'm pretty sure its not his Core overheating, it should shut down automaticly to prevent damage.
-
ah you silly console goons :)
-
^ he's right you know!
-
Lingor is the shit guys :) IMO no need to add or remove weapons, just give us everything that is available without additional mods :)
-
wow, epic! I feel kinda sad for the russian speaking (i think?) dude though.
saved the other guy's ass and then gets shot. -
alright then, in any case we seem to agree at least on one point: its best for you to get your own feel when doing parajumps.
-
I disagree with you both,
also I'm wondering why do you make such a hassle over this and not for example how fast we pull security,
respond to contact, or touch enemy corpses/use their equipment without proper need for it?
enough derailing the topic, PM me if you want to know how I disagree. -
I was just providing the numbers I got while testing,
its up to you how you want to read it.
Better safe than sorry. -
yes but a paradrop with T-10s is sure way to do it if we have a lot of new players, also if you drop us low in enough (500-300m) it wont take so long, unfortunately it sounds a bit dangerous.
EDIT, did a couple tests on MSO reeshman:
T-10 minimum safe jump elevation: 150m (guessed, actual jump was from 200m, took 20+ seconds to get down)
MC-5 minimum safe jump elevation: 600m
depending on the wind the usual distance from LZ is 100-50m. (T-10)
(depending what we are jumping from, test done from a stationary chopper)
when jumped from 400m with a T-10, time of flight was about 1min 20secs.
instead of HALO jumps I would suggest trying HAHO for its safety, depending on situation.
takes a long time to come down and if made above enemy territory the forces are suspectible to HMG/GPMG fire,
suggested time of execution is at night. -
thanks for the info Sem :)
so whats the final verdict on Para use? shall we continue by poffader's way meaning sight and feel or..?
one possibility is to learn how to do proper para jumps with T-10s. -
sure if I can make it.
EDIT: I'm there.
