  2. So I need some help in this new mission I made, first tests seem to have gone well but I have no idea how it will work in a long run. THE WHOLE IDEA OF THE MISSION IS TO GO LOW TECH AND USE NEW KIND OF WEAPONRY, SO DON'T GO PICKING WEAPONS WITH OPTICS OR OVER HAULING YOURSELF WITH WEAPONRY. DAY OF TESTING: pending, we will see when we get enough people on. Rules of Engagement: ONLY FIRE IF YOU ARE FIRED UPON, we are the UN, not the national defence force of Takistan. Main objectives: 1. Gather civilians in the yellow zone and escort/transport them to the greenzone. 2. Defend the border CP at all costs, south-takistan insurgents will be trying to take it over. Secondary objectives: 1. Make sure no insurgents are left in the yellow zone after the assault on the CP 2. Sweep through Falar after the assault, make sure the town is clear of civilians and enemy combatants. Friendly forces: United Nations Operation in Takistan (UNOTAK) Command group 1'6 (3 men) 1st Mech INF 1'1 (8 men) 2nd Mech INF 1'2 (8 men) 3rd Mech INF 1'3 (8 men) CASEVAC/MEDEVAC/AIR (Mi17) 1'4 (3 men) Enemy forces: Insurgents with varied weaponry, mainly AKs, PKMs and RPGs. Main force of the enemy attacking will also have technicals, armored cars and some reports tell they also have tanks. IMPORTANT: - Mission has a shooting range for warm up. - Mission has no time limit but after the main force moves out they should hurry. - Mission doesn't have any kind of notes in game. - There is no ending yet, so it is up to the CO/Admin to end the mission. - Civilians will join the unit that goes within 5m of them. - Be careful, difficulty might be easy or very VERY hard. - Any empty slots will be taken by AI for some reason, AI WILL attack the targets on the shooting range, and any non-UN vehicles in the base. - Players will have to complete their sets when in-game.   8. Jager LAN_WROTE ... Wooz =VG= LAN_WROTE ... Sounds awesome, should we start assigning the roles right away or? Might be hard to do since we don't know the date yet but it vg's call, it will be some upcoming saturday. After the play test I'll give an update. Maybe make something like this where everybody answers: Do you want to Lead? Y/N Do you want to be a Pilot? Y/N Do you want to be a Crewman? Y/N Are you interested in an administrative position (Radioman, ATC, JTAC)? Y/N Q.C.C.: (any questions comments or concerns)
  9. Jager LAN_WROTE ... Castor =VG= LAN_WROTE ... CBA_CO or CBA_A2+CBA_OA? That my friend is nkenny or savage's call, server will be up ahead of the event so people can connect and check if their shizle works but that won't be till after the play test. Alright, ill talk with both, its just that if we DONT use CBA_CO I wont be able to join, as well as Murder if I'm right.

  11. So I've made a couple of missions and I could use some help with them, I have no idea if they work and it's kind of hard to test all the different triggers and such on my own. I have 2 missions done, COOP14: a Squad is moving from south Stratis to Agia Marina to support friendlies in a HUGE firefight - actually no triggers, very simple, should work pretty good COOP24: 2 Squads are tasked with clearing of Camp Maxwell, Tempest and Girna. - a HUGE bunch of triggers and enemies on this one, probably wont work the way its supposed to but testing would help me determine what works and what doesnt, I'm hoping the mission will be semi-fun without the triggers as well.
  12. alright guys, you can give some feed back here on what went well and what didn't, any ideas on how to improve would be appreciated! IMO went well, the lack of acre and easy mission gave the event a relaxed, but a bit detached feeling (from other squads, I was in Viking-2) also the ALPHA stage of ARMA3 probably affected as well, as well as my crappy timing :P I will post all info in time next time and make sure there everything is set for less confusion.
  13. updated the thread. Squads talk in channels, Platoon net is in TS, all SQLs and AIR needs to be on the same TS channel, I dont care about the rest as long as they dont talk in that channel. GLOBAL/SIDE is off limits unless urgent. (non-gameplay urgent) I guess joystick is easier but keyboard+mouse is better for ARMA (or just the same I hear) what you really need is track IR if you want to be a great pilot. (helps in every other aspect of ARMA as well, from INF to ARMOR and AIR) Tell me if you have problems with your current team and role! You are also free to discuss between each other for changing places ( d'uh !yes )
  14. Agreed. maybe we can set the PW on every time we do an event? I'm kinda guessing we will have ACRE on the next one so.. (any event after 6th of April)

Murderface =VG= LAN_WROTE ... for Pigeon, Vetala and Terremer, how about combining the three of them to make a smaller recon element or support element. if Pigeon and Vetala fail to show then it could be Ciro, Bobbus (They work well together) and Terremer for the recon/support team. just an idea to give us more flexibility and range of motion per se Very good idea! But IMHO such a thing would not be effective with this small team, it's better for these 2 squads work together and support each other in order to win than to divide them even more, but I will probably make put someone in CAS support. basicly my idea is to give us SQLs tools to effectively divide the squad into buddy teams. SQL + Medic, Buddyteam 1 Explosives expert/Repair specialist + Rifleman, Buddyteam 2 AR + AT, Buddyteam 3 BTW I'm not going to force these slots for anyone due to the idea to have a more relaxed event. It's up to Bravo squad to choose their leader and for the rest to step up, If you want to be a CAS pilot, tell me.
