  1. @Kavelenko. Oh man. I just tested the maps. Beirut is going to be real tough. 2 Logi trucks x 2 support bridges to get the tanks across like 8 holes. We're going to need a very dedicated Logi squad to make that happen with full fire suppression. I recommend @WCCBadploy for that mission. That's going to be insane. I took the chopper to fly over finally and not pretty mate. Not pretty. We definitely have to film that.
  2. Well... It looks like we're seriously going to have to work together. All of us.
  3. Meh, warriors are empty, cool Melon changed a few things. But we still need to work it.
  4. But who will be filming this. @Rotblut sent me a link for the last event to do it but I don't know how to make it work. I simply can't get it to work. I'm an idiot. Just btw. I saw an amazingly funny video from (I believe) last year where (I think) @=VG= Recon was a journalist and had to film, do nothing and rely on his babysitters. It's fun to watch I recommend it. The sheer humorous stuff/jokes and action we'll most definitely have could be captured from multiple angles by those who know how and can. It is always fun to relive the moment or see what went wrong or even if you weren't there (like I was at the 'journalist' event) to just view how much fun it was. Anybody filming?
  5. Bumping this back to the attention of all of as the Warriors are still not spoken for on one of the tougher maps (we need drivers and at least one more gunner). And we probably don't have enough commanders. I will only play gunner on the Warrior and the rest in cheeki breeki squad as infantry. I am willing to lead the squad when our glorious leader is busy in the tank if need be.
  6. I always wanted to sound like Optimus Prime or Darth Vader. But whatever floats your boat. Basically I think the easiest solution is to buy a headset. It typically costs (basically) nothing and really improves your gaming experience. Just my two cents.

    Need some help

We're here brother. The question is what you want to play? Check the forums and see we play a lot of project reality, but many other guys play lots of other games. It's your call. Just expect brotherhood and friendship. If you want it.
  8. Actually that's interesting what @Carkidd said is it possible to run a BLUFOR event and then later an OPFOR event?
  9. Ahh!!! That's what you meant when I asked about the retro-pack! Awesome guys!
  10. If that's possible that would be so awesome. I am really certain a shit load of us will be game for a weekly run of 'special' maps. I mean even the pre-event infantry only maps were just priceless. And I think everyone loved it. Also - would it be possible to provide future event map ideas somewhere on the forum? I already shared @Kavelenko his idea on a IFV mechanised infantry (aka MECH) only map. Which I think will be awesome.
  11. Agreed. I want a rematch on the first map. Something went horribly wrong there. I ended up stuck on Delta with our medic and an MP5 that literally kept us alive but we couldn't move up. And it's learn from mistakes mate. Nobody to blame.
  12. Thanks! Do we have more footage? I thought this was too awesome.
  13. That was awesome! Thanks @=VG= Melon Muncher! We want more
  14. @=VG= Eclipse002 if I remember correctly @=VG= PBAsydney and @Rotblut typically record events. But agreed it should be recorded. Might be epic and certainly shitloads of fun to see afterwards. I actually have no idea how to record events but I am sure plenty of other do.
  15. Hold up @Kavelenko. I was literally having the same conversation. So for those of us in Europe it is 22:00 central European time (CET) correct? If yes, it means early beers for you mate on the fourteenth
  16. I can attest to this. I believe he sacrificed himself for getting a boat on Jabal. He made me shoot him for the benefit of the squad. If I remember correctly.
  17. Hahaha! M.A.S.H. and Hawkeye. Ladies and gentlemen I think we have our medic (and/or engineering) and sniper squads. Please feel free to apply.
  18. @=VG= keed I think there's plenty of room for "_random_" players. This is, if I understood it correctly, more about our volunteer SL's getting their shit sorted and filling slots to make the event a success by recruiting people. I personally invited a few Dutch guys and I am sure they're more than welcome to join any squad they wish to, heck, I can give up a spot or two if need be. We just want it to be fun and successful. But we also need to organize a few things in order to win the maps. Success = people.
  19. @WCCBadploy Oh for sure the 'master' plan will change in battle. But better to have plan A.) and one or more fall back scenarios than no plan at all. I like the idea of having a battleplan like Ted suggested and preferably back up plans rather than getting stuck last minute. No offense, but these maps that Melon made have some tough nuts to crack and I love it. But I also want to win them. So we need to, I think, come prepared because Melon built-in some severe weaknesses that will put us all to the test. Again awesome but we must be weary. It's not like we're going to do Muttrah again.
  20. @Kavelenko oh yeah. We lose the Chinook we're in deep shit but we can handle it. I am 100% sure we can. The Ramiel map has me more worried. But then again as Melon pointed out there should be no insta RPG and Ted has a plan. We'll see it should be good fun!
  21. Lashkar only appears to be a tough nail to crack if we lose the Chinook and points 2&3. 5 will be a main battleground to start but if we lose it we can fall back to 2&3 and go full defense. If you ask me... But what do I know
  22. Oh and if I am asking too much questions and being annoying just tell me. I am pretty anal and perfectionistic so whereas I can deal with the 'normal' maps through improvisation and creativity with the guys in my squad going all the way, I am pretty sure that these maps require far more team effort, coordination and commitment to win them. Hence I am asking questions about potential weaknesses that I spot. And yes. I like to win and I know we can do it.
  23. Just another dumb question from me. Is every commander like Ted going to create a pre-battleplan + fall back situations or more risky plans? And if so we're short two commanders I neither have the operational knowledge to play the role (I never play commander) and am also already 'spoken' for in all maps. So we need two more commanders non? If we're going to strategize then we need to know the commanders and committed SL's per team/asset to coordinate for each map. Like with @PissBlitz his role will be vital so might want to make clear who will be forward outpost and how supplies should run and what is the secondary strategy when we lose point. See what I mean?
