  1. Well the freaking thing won't let me register. Keeps saying I don't appear to be Human, while I agree that is somewhat true, I still have a DICK so I at least consider myself PART human. LOL

    Doesn't give any reason .

It says contact the site Admin but there's no place to do that, WTF Over??

  2. It's only probably 2ys old. I hate Dell but it is actually the best system of 5 that are here in the house. FF and BMS run like lightning on it.

    Its a Dell Inspiron531
    AMD Athlon 2.8Ghz Dual Core
    3GB RAM
    WinXP32

I just disabled the NIC in Bios and will see if I can make any headway. If not, I may try adding another drive as a last resort before throwing it out the window. !cmdo

  3. I don't think the Mobo is toast as I can fly FF and BMS with no issues. And I can do other stuff like run Visual Studio 2003 in debug mode for Falcon.

I know what you are saying tho, something is really buggered. The issue with backing up is about 10 fold. I only have a 1GB thumb drive, I can't transfer network wise as it won't allow me to setup one and the killer, I don't have other drives that could accommodate all that data.

I could try to add another drive and make it the master as I have a couple other smaller drives with windows on them, the problem is I would loose the function of stuff like Adobe PS, VS, Microsoft Office XP and all that because of the new drive and registry cross over.

    I don't know, I think I'm F*RKED.

  4. I had installed a driver from Dell as it is a dell system(probably the first mistake, lol), that did not get the network card to work so I just left it as I didn't need to get on the net at the time.

Then a few weeks ago I decided I wanted to get it fixed to MP here with the DUDES, I uninstalled that driver and go the driver again off the net and installed it. No-go, then Windows came up with a warning that recommended I not use that driver so I uninstalled it again.

That's when I started getting all these services shutting down. I can't get any of them started now. I can't even do a Restore, windows says Restore cannot help my system to reboot and select restore again, I did that and it just says the same thing.

I'm sure I can do a System Recovey but I would loose 120GB's of Falcon development and I have no way to back it up.

    I'm F*CKED, lol

  5. Man, I was trying to get this network card working so I could MP and I totally porked something up.

So bad that I can't get any shut down Services running. Can't do a System Restore, hell, I can't even Paste a file from one folder to another.

I'm wondering if Visual Studio.NET 2003 has caused an issue somehow.

    HELP...................... !help

  6. Okay, here's what I did and any guy can do it too.

Got married, had 3 kids, all while I was in the Army. I'm from CA and the wife is from NH. She was pretty meek and had no self-confidence when she was young. I met here in Germany while we were both active duty.

She got out when our second daughter was born overseas. I stayed in for 12ys until 92. Back then there wasn't alot of gaming going on, the big thing was the VIC20 and Amiga.

Got out of the service went to work. She hooked on at Target. She ended up in the cash office and eventually hooked on with Staples and became a GM, we were about 17ys into the marriage. I encouraged here to get into management as she was working her ass of being an associate for $8 an hr.

Anyways her confidence grew wildly and so did her hours, ha. That gave me lots of time after work back when Falcon came out. I didn't MP at all for 7-8yrs just a ton of SP. She's the one that bought me Falcon4.0 Binder addition for $70.

We ended up moving to TN about 6yrs ago. She didn't take a cut in pay, which was good and the marriage was, uh, okay. We bought a house(moral of the story shortly). She made a deal that since the economy was so much cheaper here than in CA that all I had to do was maintain the house, cook, clean all that stuff that she'd bring home the bacon. WOW, right up my alley. I always made time for my 3 girls which was a must and I loved them to death.

I ended up on the FreeFalcon Dev team, time went on a few years ago the marriage started going south, not crumbling, we just sort ended up living in the same house and tolerating each other. Now I had way more time, lol, to screw around.

I started MPing at the same time I was dev'ing. Now were at 28yrs into the marriage and we're still chugging along. She keeps me around because she likes to eat when she gets home, hahaha. I'm at the computer probably 16hrs of the day.

Now the moral of the story, make sure when you buy the house it's in both of your names, then she won't kick you out cause you get HALF. !mental

Vicious I know what you're going through so I figured a little humor was in order.

  7. OKAY, FORK IT I GIVE UP. !cmdo

This system will just not cooperate. I can't get chit to work. Windows now tells me the software for the Network card is not WHQL certified and to not install it. I got the freaking driver from Dell and this is a DELL Inspiron, WTF!!! !memo

I was thinking about having Khronik remotely access it but, DOH, I can't get on the net, LOL

Okay, I've spammed the Screenshot thread enough, so I'll leave you with this and hope ya'll BLESS, uhhhhh, forgive me. !good

  10. Blud, slow mouse movement may be a sign of background resources activating/eating away memory while gaming.

Do you have AV running that may be doing a scheduled scan??

Something's eating up your resources big time if the configuration of the two cards is being affected.

I doubt it is your GFX cards that are having an issue, they're the ones getting the bad end of the deal from something else IMO.
