=VG= SemlerPDX Posted July 21, 2016 at 05:48 AM Report Share Posted July 21, 2016 at 05:48 AM Change the SSD to Samsung 850 EVO:Sequential Read/Write Performance : Up to 540MB/s and 520MB/s Respectively, and Random Read/Write IOPS Performance : Up to 97K and 88K Respectively retail $92 avg. Currently Selected 240GB SanDisk Z410 SSD is the middle set of numbers -- retail $71 avg. Sequential Read/Write3 Up to 535/410MB/s Up to 535/440MB/s Up to 535/445MB/s Random Read/Write3 Up to 36/54K IOPS Up to 36/66K IOPS Up to 37/68K IOPS It's worth the extra $20 to have the best SSD available right now - Samsung for the win! I use that same 550c Asetek liquid cooler, and it's quite as a mouse and rarely gets hot (maybe with games like GTAV or Arma 3). Also, if you can spring for the Pro Wiring, since you're not building your own PC, it might be worth the extra little $$ -- makes cleaning out the dust bunnies a breeze the way they route all the wires on the back side of the motherboard. also looks cooler, more airflow, lower temps by a small margin as a result. 600W is more than enough for this build, including the GTX 1070 beast of a GFX card... Should pull at least 120FPS in all games with gfx settings on ultra high, no need to dick around with lowering settings to get the games to play well. Just jam the sliders in most any game to max. A worthy investment, man - you'd only save around $300 if you were a PC builder and bought the parts separately, and for that $300 you're getting rush delivery, a warranty, and no headaches from the issues of building a PC (1 in 10 RAM sticks are DOA, I think that's the figure). Plus, if you can sell your old PC on craigslist or something, this build is even cheaper. Pro shit man.
PBAsydney Posted July 21, 2016 at 10:58 AM Report Share Posted July 21, 2016 at 10:58 AM Honestly, drop the i7 and get an i5 and use the extra money to buy a GTX1080 instead. Going i7 over i5 for gaming is utterly pointless and I would only recommend it if you are going to do some heavy duty video editing, for example. Here is what I came up with for a custom built via pcpartpicker: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($229.99 @ B&H) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler ($88.49 @ Newegg) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD5 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($163.98 @ Newegg) Memory: Kingston FURY 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 Memory ($85.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung 950 PRO 256GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($186.99 @ SuperBiiz) Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1080 8GB GAMING X 8G Video Card ($724.98 @ Newegg) Case: Fractal Design Define S ATX Mid Tower Case ($69.99 @ Newegg) Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA P2 650W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($85.98 @ Newegg) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit ($83.89 @ OutletPC) Total: $1720.28Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when availableGenerated by PCPartPicker 2016-07-21 06:52 EDT-0400 It's a bit over your original budget, but all the parts are high end and it should be a beautiful build.
=VG= BLuDKLoT Posted July 21, 2016 at 10:12 PM Author Report Share Posted July 21, 2016 at 10:12 PM You guys making this harder lol I'd have to put all that shit together, it's been a while. I'm might have forgot how. But It looks like a good build but I wanted a case with 4 USB and Headphone and Mic jacks on the front of case and what about sound card and only 256GB drive?? PBAsydney Posted July 22, 2016 at 12:50 AM Report Share Posted July 22, 2016 at 12:50 AM You can change the case to whatever fits your needs, just make sure it is ATX (not ITX or mATX). Dedicated sound cards are non-essential unless you have high impedance headphones that require an amp. High end motherboards today include excellent shielded sound circuitry. As for storage, you could always go for the 512GB version of the 950 Pro, I have that myself and it's absolutely lovely, but it is quite pricey. If you have a tight budget then I would go for the 256GB version and have a mechanical hard drive for storage and games where loading times are not very important.
=VG= Speirs Posted July 22, 2016 at 03:28 AM Report Share Posted July 22, 2016 at 03:28 AM + powerful CPU + powerful graphic card + exellent motherboard + very good periphery - not enough RAM - no water cooling (less noise)
=VG= Calv Posted July 22, 2016 at 10:01 AM Report Share Posted July 22, 2016 at 10:01 AM Thoughts? White highlighted text on a dark background hurts my eyes. Other than that, double the RAM and do what =VG= PBAsydney said.
Solifluktion Posted July 22, 2016 at 01:44 PM Report Share Posted July 22, 2016 at 01:44 PM I personally would pick a regular SSD and go for 500GB. The 950 Pro is pretty sweet but the price is still too high for my taste. I'd also definetly go for 16GB of Ram just to be on the safe side.

Some cheaper corsair power supplies have been kinda iffy lately.
