Helldiv3r Posted September 25, 2010 at 06:18 PM Report Share Posted September 25, 2010 at 06:18 PM It seems that sometimes Xfire can greatly reduce the speed at which BF2 loads, try disabling that while playing and see :)

PITN Posted September 28, 2010 at 07:36 PM Report Share Posted September 28, 2010 at 07:36 PM Try these steps. Stop at the first step that corrects the problem. Step 5 - 8 are really one step and very extreme.1. Reinstall PR and do a play test. Is it only PR that experiences this problem?2. Do a MEMORY TEST of your RAM.2. Recover Windows to an earlier time.3. DISKCHECK AND DEFRAG HARD DRIVE.4. Reinstall BF2 and PR.The following is simplified with a second hard drive.5. Backup stuff you can't lose.6. Download the Service packs for windows for IT professionals and the Drivers for your hardware.7. Reinstall Windows and patch. Once you have installed Win and get a solid foundation make MIRROR image of the drive if you can.8. reinstall your other software and enjoy.I have a few theories on your issue. Corrupt game files. Corrupt Windows Install. Possible impending hardware faliure (RAM -not likely or the HARD DISK -liikely).

PITN Posted September 29, 2010 at 02:19 AM Report Share Posted September 29, 2010 at 02:19 AM It sounds like your having read/write problems. Is this just for PR? Or has it affected other games?
-WCC-B0zZz3 Posted September 29, 2010 at 09:35 AM Report Share Posted September 29, 2010 at 09:35 AM I have the same problem. Added PR.exe to the firewall now. Gonna see the results later.
Pvt. Pirate Posted September 29, 2010 at 12:33 PM Report Share Posted September 29, 2010 at 12:33 PM i have the same problem, but its not upto 15 minutes, but rather 5 minutes to load a map. i hope someone can lend me an external HDD so i can backup some data to have 15% free space on my 500GB drive and be able to defrag then.it also was the same issue with BF2 without PR.
