Hi guys! First of all, i don't remember if last year i've left my introduction on the forum and i'm too lazy to check, if is needed just tell me and i will add it as soon as possible..

Second, i'm sorry for my possible english mistakes since i'm italian, i will try to do my best guys.. :D

I'm enjoyin your DayZ server for a week now, and i have to say that after months of brutal deathmatch, furious hack' attacks and killing on sight everything (human or zombie), this sounds like something new and different..I'm not sayin better, because PvP is a big part of the game, is that feeling that keeps you with your eyes always open, is that feeling of not knowin if you can or can't trust somone when you meet him..
So i'm actually testing how is the "No PvP" rule for the first time..

I've seen your posts before, and seems like you're getting bored about the game, and i can understand that because after a while, havin all the weapons/backpacks and tools, with none that can rob you or destroy your camp, can be boring as well..
I've played in the PvP area for a lot of months now (since April), and i can tell you that obviously from one side is a great part of the game, but on the other side most of the time PvP means shootin on sight to everyone (not even for a good reason, only fear that he will betray you as soon as he knows that you have better gear..), spyin people to their camps only to wait that they disconnect and then destroy their camps (other sad thing on my eyes, very unrealistic) and other similar things..

So let's just say that PvP is great but also gives too much space to griefing and annoying other players..mostly because there's no real difference between being a survivor and being a bandit..

Maybe a PvP with some actual rules can be a better solution..maybe a PvP with some safe zones on the map where people can trade, setting up safe outposts and similars, and where PvP is forbidden..
I've also other ideas, for example making the zombies really dangerous..like increasing the amount of meters of the respawn zone for zeds, or increasing the number of zombies spawned..in conclusion, remake the game as it was at the beginning, where everybody was so scared about the zombies (with all the glitches they had, like movin trough walls..) that nobody was hunting humans..or, well, there were bandits, but they were only a little part of the game..Now is a world of bandits and nothing more..

Or maybe we can create 2 different teams (bandits way more less than survivors), and with some actual rules about engagement, robbing and similar..

Ok i'm out now, if you are interested i can tell you more about this, and i'm full of other ideas to make this game better, i was and still am in love with this game after all these months, but i know for sure that is full of bad aspects that need a fix...

if only i had knew about your server a couple of months ago.. :(
the only real thing that i'm missing on DayZ is some real cooperation with other players, i've always played the lonewolf, and the few players i've met either had betrayed me after a while or they tried to shoot me down (that's why most of the time i've spotted an human i leave him free to go stayin well hide or i kill him..)

The VG clan is interested on the Dynamic Zombie Sandbox? I'm looking foward to this, and i've tried it a couple of days ago and looks very interesting (maybe with some touches on the code, for example the zombies are only characters of Arma, they look like humans. And also the food/water system is not so great..but is a good start in my opinion..)

You have some really good ideas ... i like a lot of them, i like the idea of the save zone ore trading zone...sounds good. Im sorry, i would like to take care more about the DayZ Server but i dont have so much time the last weeks. But maybe i find some other people who are interesting on changes too... See ya

No prob Morrison, everyone can be busy with work and life don't worry about that..

I've just found out about something that can be very interesting for the VG DayZ Server. It's the so called "RMod" for DayZ, it brings a lot of new stuff to the game, it add also the possibility to spawn almost every vehicle in the Arma game (dayz version of vehicles, with also texture reskin), it add the possibility to add almost all the weapons from the Arma vanilla game and admin can decide where and how often spawn them..
Another important add is the possibility of Human AI inside the game, you can add bandits AI, survivors AI, civilians AI and so on..you can add enemies, and enemies' campsites, blockroads and similar..

Let me know if you are interested, i can give you the link with all the changelogs for the Rmod (i don't know if i can post it here because is from another forum online..)
I can leave you a video here from the creator of the mod that explains and shows a lot of the new features..

Those are some cool ideas, many of those have come up on the DayZ forums before, and some are implementations in the upcoming WarZ game - I'd like to see DayZ become more COOP, but with a PvP element.

If I were to try to improve on DayZ, the first thing I would do would be to remove scoped weapons and NVG or anything thermal or IR. And I'd add a very dangerous AI faction that is not aflicted with the 21st Century Plaque, and the ability to be captured by them and taken to "the island".

DayZ has proven to be almost impossible to play without safety in numbers, because of the PvP element, but the fat lady hasn't sung yet.... We have yet to see what DayZ will really be in the end, once it is a stand alone game.
