Campaign Episode I : "LIBERATION"
17th October 2015 - 20:00 PRT (project reality time)

Briefing :

US Marines on board USS Essex have finally arrived in the seas of Middle East! HQ has given them 3 important tasks to complete. As the relations with neighbouring countries like Iran is on edge and HQ doesn't want to provoke them even more, heavy air and artillery support is currently unavailable. USSOCOM has dispatched their elite Navy Seals team to help the Marines.

Mission I - "Free like a bird"

Marines will be inserted to the US OP near the city of Karbala. Their mission is to locate and rescue a high value VIP who holds important information about insurgent camp locations and who also has knowledge of special operations planned by the USSOCOM. Intel suggests that insurgents are using explosives and mines to protect the city and their key positions.
The VIP must be brought back to OP by the helicopter. Pickup points will be set by the Commander at the beginning of the mission.

Mission II - "GARY"

The Marines are redeployed to the city of Fallujah. Their mission is simple - Capture the city and remove any insurgent activity in the AO. Intel suggests that insurgents are using heavy explosives and civilian vehicles as a delivery method.
Pilots will have a free selection due to lack of choppers on the map. They can choose whatever inf role they would like to fill. As there are 2 one man LAVs, I'll think about giving out those assets as well, but not at the moment.

Mission III - "Black Hawk Down"

USSOCOM BH carrying Navy seal team & the VIP was shot down over the city of Ramiel. Marines are dispached to the city in order to locate the survivors and escort them to the port SE of the city. The enemy strenght and assets in the AO are currently unknown. Additional intel will be given once the rescute team has moved out.
Consept :

Survivors - Navy Seals, 2 Pilots, VIP

Rescue team must start the search from the west part of the city. They are allowed to advance only once the flags in the way have been captured. Meanwhile the survivors have a similar task. They will start at the eastern part of the city and will have to work their way down to the west and meet the rescue team by capturing the flags on the way. Once together with the resuce team, the VIP and Seals must be escorted to the port SE of the city.

Mission Rules :

1) NO respawn on SQL for Survivors. - Once you go dead - dead, you are not allowed to spawn on the SQL. But you can join the attacking team moving in from the west.
2) VIP - It's better to make sure that he survives the mission and gets to the port safely. Otherwise there will be consequences in the next episode !crazy
3) Absolutely no communication is allowed between survivors and rescuers during the search - This will be accomplished by moving the survivors over to the OPFOR mumble channel. As there's no way to remove the map, It's up to the players to role play through the mission like they don't know where the other team is :P
4) As both of the pilots are on the survivor team, No heli transport is available during the mission.
5) Both teams must reach each other by capturing the flags on the way. No flag jumping is allowed!

Would be nice if there is some realism factor in the squads as in your forum rank matters in that squad, a proper working chain of command would be lovely.

I was thinking of having a proper comms system, meaning that all requests and chatter must go through the commander = Need supply drop - call the CO, Need reinforcements, call the CO and so on. Not sure how well it would go tho. Will look into it.

Heads up to all who have or are planning to sign up to Navy Seal team - I know that it's cool to be part of elite SF squad, but Think this through, before applying. You'll be going against 48 elite difficulty bots with only 2 pilots equipped with pistols as backup. Aslo, you all propably already noticed that Sparky will be playing as one of the Badboys which means - watch your step!
If you fail in protecting the VIP, you'll also make it more difficult for the entire team to achieve their coals in the next Episode. (No pressure !crazy )
