Bones Posted February 22, 2011 at 04:14 PM Report Share Posted February 22, 2011 at 04:14 PM Because this sim is far more complex then many of its contemporaries I figured we could all use a little help in wrapping our heads around it. I strongly recommend that you also play through (multiple times) the included tutorial missions in the sim as well. There is so much more and I will update this thread as sim pilots around the world start tearing into it and posting "How to's"Startup Procedures [yt=640,390]_MDnglKtcSA&hd=1[/yt]Navigation[yt=640,390]EsU-hbSyJgM&hd=1[/yt][yt=640,390]8JztibZnPTs&hd=1[/yt][yt=640,390]LcTVbLDp0Lc&hd=1[/yt]Weapons[yt=640,390]SwAz7d8rIpc&hd=1[/yt][yt=640,390]6JGLFeKVwy4&hd=1[/yt][yt=640,390]Qy-RNLLP-Rs&hd=1[/yt][yt=640,390]dLuXwMGlhO8&hd=1[/yt][yt=640,390]qET4A9z4eAk&hd=1[/yt][yt=640,390]IOZ18GNPI-c&hd=1[/yt][yt=640,390]KGQX-27-8Mg&hd=1[/yt]Landing\ILS[yt=640,390]kCc6L_Iu9IY&hd=1[/yt][yt=640,390]66IHLDVi9sY&hd=1[/yt]Aux Systems[yt=640,390]EBbxFb_rm7A&hd=1[/yt]

Guest Guest Chaz Posted February 24, 2011 at 04:14 PM Guest Report Share Posted February 24, 2011 at 04:14 PM A couple of tweaks I've come across:1) If you are seeing "tearing" while panning around the cockpit, it's because the Vsync option in-game is broken. You have to manually go to the graphics cfg file to turn it on. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=678872) If the controls seems sensitive/jumpy, try this: (You still need to trim the controls, but the following method will smooth out your control inputs.)Q: Why are my controls too sensitive?A: The default axis settings for the stick and be a bit touchy for some. If you feel this is the case or you. we suggest:1- Select Options from Main Menu2- Select Controls tab3- From Category drop down list, select Axis Commands4- Select Pitch for JOY Y and then press Axis Tune button5- Set JOY Y Deadzone to 10 and Curvature to 306- Press Ok button4- Select Roll for JOY X and then press Axis Tune button5- Set JOY X Deadzone to 10 and Curvature to 306- Press Ok button7- Press Ok button at bottom of screen to save changes. Guest Guest Chaz Posted February 25, 2011 at 07:48 AM Guest Report Share Posted February 25, 2011 at 07:48 AM Been doing these tutorials over and over and over. Learning new avionics is a bitch, especially this old bird. Coupled with a new HOTAS setup and a nearly 700 page manual.... Time for some online action! Simple TEs would be fun. Though I haven't tooled much with the mission editor yet.
