I put some name for ban, some of them blow me up on HQ when im repairing my hely, some of them just make killing in HQ

Thanks for the report Hulio I am keeping a list that will be banned as soon as we get some server tools.

*** Important News for A3 Servers ***

I have enabled v2 signature checking on both servers to help combat the hacking, etc.

For now you cannot load in with any mods running.. don't worry this will change as soon as server keys are released for mods.

One of the side effects of sig checking in the Alpha is lag in the slot/briefing screens... so please be patient when joining and it seems your game is frozen. Just wait a minute it will figure itself out.

** this freezing is worse if your computer is below spec... especially your hard drive **

I've updated the restarter.exe program that keeps all 3 servers up and running (there were issues with the old one)

I haven't had a lot of time last day or two to work on updates/changes to the mission. I'll also get the mods situation sorted out tonight or tomorrow so that players can join with client-side mods... as long as they have a server .bikey released with the mod (no server key = mod not allowed)



Quick in-game admin HOWTO:


#login password
#logout

#kick playername
You can also hit Map, Players, select player, Kick off (sometimes this is easier than trying to type the name)

#missions
Ends the current mission and brings you to the list of available missions

#monitor 10
Shows the server FPS and bandwidth usage every 10 seconds
#monitor 0
Turns of FPS monitoring


** Please make sure you logout after kicking or restarting mission - ie: DO NOT stay logged in for long periods of time **

Nice one. Something for the todo list:
The server mod has a status that appear ocasionally on near the top right corner of the screen... unfortunately, this is also the place where the GPS is moved using the GPS mod (with biskey).

Any chance of having the server-status condensed or moved so as to make it easier to see the gps information? :-)

^ not sure actually.. I'll check the config files and make sure voting isn't disabled or something

edit: config files are OK voting is enabled needs 25% of pop to work

Can anyone else confirm voting in mission does not work? If not I'm going to firebomb BIS offices.

New version K up on private server now as default, Pubs on next restart.

- new base layout with added heli protection.. i'll pretty it up later
- removed satchels from repair specialists
- updated VAS script.. I think this resets all loadouts at least it did for me... sorry about that but hey.. it's an alpha :)


edit: sorry i forgot to turn off debug hint.. next time

we broke 100G bandwidth usage today on the server :)

I've added .bikey files for CBA, sthud, hmm_stanceindicator, FA_GPS... but I still cannot join the server with those mods loaded. Can someone else try and post your results?

edit: some Domi mission released today up on private server now

on arma III third server is some kind of hacker or its hack, there was some mesage about wisit some site for downloading some good hacking tools, and after some minute when i was returning to base with my litle bird there all blow up every body on map was dead and i get team kill for that, LOL. so somebody check out please. all my game crash after

Had a nice run with vehicles on Public 1 today, at one point we even had 3 vehicles + mobile west moving out. Should be even better once everyone is on same comms.

Hopefully MSO or new mods will let you make custom squads so you can keep comms more controlled.


Edit: Vehicle convoys rock, even when Mobile West suddenly disappears and is used as a battering ram. :)
