Bear Posted November 14, 2012 at 08:06 PM Report Share Posted November 14, 2012 at 08:06 PM So... just installed PR today (yeah, I know... WTF took me so long). Have the add-on maps downloaded, but not installed yet. As I'm as green as they come to the PR thang, what else do I need, what procedural stuff do I need to know, etc...If ya'll need a bullet catcher, I'm yer guy! Nowherrmann Posted November 14, 2012 at 09:33 PM Report Share Posted November 14, 2012 at 09:33 PM Awesome! First thing you should do is read through the manual that came with the PR download, there's a TON of things that are different. You might try joining a few COOP games to familiarize yourself with the feel of the game before going straight into deployment. The VG COOP server has the bots set at a moderately high difficulty which is good for practice but keep in mind they WILL headshot you with an RPG if you step out from behind a corner too abruptly. Jump on Teamspeak if you see anyone on and we'll probably join you. Feel free to ask questions too, it's best to learn all you can with bros rather than getting a "crash course" in flying on a deployment server.Word of advice though, in deployment mode try to stick with infantry squads until you are used to using armor and flying. People can get a little short tempered if you don't know how to operate what you're in.See you on the server!

Bear Posted November 14, 2012 at 10:06 PM Author Report Share Posted November 14, 2012 at 10:06 PM No worries on the Infantry approach, I actually prefer to roam on foot, less probability of someone hearing me coming. Does nada vs the bots, but anyway. Thanks for the feedback thus far, gonna be a fun ride!
