  1. I have taken the liberty of modifying a campaign save in hopes the server will run it (even as a test). The save starts at 05:00 Day as normal. Here is a list of the changes: The USS Carl Vinson is present from day 1 of the campaign Added a player squadron of FA-18Cs from the Vinson (the 666th FS) Added a player squadron of F16C BLK52s based at Seosan (the 998th FS) Link: http://puu.sh/opjag/a28fb01566.cam (right click, hit "save as" -> .cam)
  2. Played on the 18th and noticed that both Osan and Seosan are out of action. In addition, the F16 Squadrons running out of Osan are completely out of stores (this may be due to the runway being out of commission - hence no resupply flights). I didn't feel like flying all the way out of some remote airbase to get to the FLOT today so I can't attest to performance. Just something for everyone else to be aware of.
  3. Semler I can tell you from just a quick flight today that the Chinese slash CIS (whatever the hell that acronym is) and their SU-30s and 27's along with the influx of top-of-the-line MBTs like the T-90s have been giving me plenty to do. The west side of the island looks pretty dead but the majority of the action is centered on the East side. I will agree with Minrah that we do appear to be running into some shortages of stores but I don't see that as an issue - that's just good realism. I have noticed no AI spinning or weird maneuvers throughout any of my flights on the server.
  4. The tanker jump is actually normal. The tanker switches from being hosted by the server to being hosted by you when you request refueling to prevent lag during aerial refueling attempts.
  5. Just flew today and observed wonderful performance in the server. I am absolutely ecstatic to see that we'll be doing auto saves on the campaign. The fruits of our labor will not be wasted! My friends and I greatly appreciate the effort everybody has put in to the server.
  6. Unfortunatley seems like the server has suffered another crash. I was in the server's 3D and experienced random blue time compression text before the actual crash occured.
  7. I just began receiving the same Kevin pending message today. I usually was very lucky to doge any BMS related errors but apparently my luck has run out. I fail to see what could have changed within the last 24 hours to cause this.
  8. There's another campaign up on VG's server being run by two players. It's password protected so I can't join. I've PM'd Semler the player's names.
  9. Server appears to have crashed - just prior to the crash I observed two players running their own campaign on the VG server. I had no way to contact them as their campaign screen was a blue Korea lookin' thing (I'm assuming they were running another theater). Additionally: I personally didn't mind the ACE ADA and AI difficulty - what I did mind was the "wall of migs" that meant we were getting jumped at takeoff from Osan and Seosan - I think the increased Allied AI generation would help tide that down. If you're interested I'd be happy to make up a sample campaign starting at 05:00 that includes an American Block 52 squadron at Seosan so that we could keep Osan HQ only. It would take a matter of minutes.
  10. Update: DPRK aircraft have completely massacred Seosan airbase and most likely will be putting Osan out of action momentarily.
  11. I will say my first impression is that the allied side is almost defenseless against this new onslaught of enemy aircraft (although this may just be day 1 effects). I have enjoyed the increased threat level of aircraft and SAMs. The airspace just became one of the deadliest I have ever seen.
  12. Server appears to have crashed today around 15:00 EST.
  13. It's very interesting when you look at the force levels page for the DPRK - at around day 4 they had 0 tactical aircraft and then it spiked to ~100 aircraft the same day...Same deal with the ground units. Watching the JSTAR replay is pretty laughable. Our ground forces have failed to punch through the DPRK lines. As far as difficulty - I've always found Veteran to be just right for operations, but again that's just my opinion. I have been very impressed with the stability of the server over the week or so it has been up. Great job Semler!
  14. Server unfortunately suffered a blue text "PAUSED" crash today.
  15. I got into a circle dogfight with some MiG23's today and I noticed that the AI flight-paths on the server are erratic and seem extremely laggy. I reviewed my ACMI footage from the dogfight and the enemy aircraft appears to teleport around without any ryme or reason. I never bothered to look at other aircraft on external view until this event when I saw both friendly AC and enemy AC seemingly teleporting around or just generally flying against the laws of physics. I am unsure if this is an indication of a server problem or is just to be expected on any Falcon MP campaign. My missiles were able to destroy the teleporting AI well but going guns on them was nearly impossible. Here's my ACMI file from the event for those interested with TACVIEW: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5w9lznkos6r2gev/lag.acmi?dl=0
  16. I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this but I'm having a strange issue with weapons employment: I seem to be unable to actually destroy ground vehicles. I have dropped Rockeyes on trucks, used AGM-65Ds on trucks, hit them with the gun until they exploded and were on fire and when I RTB and go to the briefing screen all I see the disparaging: "Hit truck with AGM-65 (insert weapon here) - damaged." I get 0 A-G kills - just damages. Hell, I even used a JSOW on an HART site and got nothing. In TEs and campaigns I start myself I can slice through the ground units like butter. @CoblatUK It is on by default. The first thing I did with Falcon was go into the Config program and uncheck the "AWACS required box" client-side.
  17. Yes, that could work - although you'd be removing another whole fighter squadron from action. It'd kind be nice to keep Seosan the "human" airbase. I'll keep the BLK40's in mind - thanks for the tip!
  18. The added bandwidth may well just do the trick. On a completely off-topic note: has there been any discussion regarding adding an American F-16-BLK52-CM squadron to Seosan? The ROK F16 just lack some of the good toys (HTS pods, centerline jammers, small diameter bombs, etc) Adding a squadron is easy using Tacedit - basically you just make a campaign save file of a campaign on Day 1 05:00 and edit it to add the new squadron to Seosan airbase - then you run that savegame every time you want to host the sever. You can disable AI spawning by unclicking "set by HQ" in the same manner as the other squadrons. Just a suggestion - thanks again four diligent maintenance work.
  19. I hate to be the bearer of terrible news every day but it appears that the server crashed again. We are unable to connect.
  20. We're having some problems fragging player flights on the server. Every time we generate a flight and attempt to load in we get an error stating "Your flight has been cancelled." and the package gets removed from the FRAGO. Very strange - and it's happening at both the 120th FS and the 157th out of Seosan. My friend and I both are experiencing this problem.
  21. Well - thank you for maintaining and running a public Falcon server in the first place. It's truly an awesome thing. Can you confirm what bandwidth setting we are supposed to be connecting with? Your TS states 300 whereas I am seeing some discussion in this thread with differing numbers. I am under the impression that incorrect client bandwidth settings can cause havoc with the server.
  22. The server appears to have crashed today. I was landing at Seosan when I saw blue text at the top of my window and the game was paused. I have not been able to connect to the server since.
