  1. If only, Believe me, I've tried. On numerous occasions when there has been an opportunity to send an e-mail to the webmaster, I have tried to do so. Without response, pos or neg, automated or manual. !dash It's almost as though the site has been abandoned. I checked my e-mail settings and would try again. NEVER had this kind of problem with ANY other website, and I'm a member in good standing with almost 2 dozen all together. Every once in a while I'll try again just for the heck of it. Who knows, maybe I'll get lucky. In the mean time, I have been successful in finding my way around in BMS and for the most part, to get things to behave the way I want. A little more time and work at it, and more success. Thanks for all the Help, Mustanger789
  2. A little more help please, Looks as though I may have been automatically, maybe even permanently, banned from the BMS site because I tried to re-register using a second user name/login and the same e-mail address (if I read the fine print correctly). Therefore, it looks as though I will be asking you good folks a lot of the questions that might more appropriately be asked of them. So bare with me please. The F-14,F-15,F-18,A-10 are all flyable in BMS. !pilot 1)Were might I find a better looking, more functional F-14 cockpit? I watched a really good You-Tube video with a GREAT looking F-14 cockpit produced by someone from this website. 2)How do you adjust radar/weapons effective ranges using the built-in editor? Otherwise, I'm getting a pretty good hang of things when it comes to flying and fighting in the F-16. What I need in the F-16 is LARGER MFDs preferably in the HUD Only display. Seems as though I accidently selected this option, once upon a time, but I'll be darned if I can find it again. I'll keep looking. Something else that might be helpful is to have pre-set MFDs pop-up when I select A-A mode from the clickable cockpit panel. Once again, any kind of help or re-direction will be greatly appreciated, Thanks Again, Mustanger789
  3. Fellow Airmen, Getting pretty good at answering some of my own questions. BMS runs GREAT in ATI Crossfire mode. Just be sure to go into the CCC and set AA to let application determine AA, instead of override application. Did some googling and found a payware Taiwan theater of operations, but could not locate any of the free variety. Seems as though a lot of the button functions are the same for BMS as they were for FF6. Still have a lot of comparing to do. Very glad to locate the config app and with it the ability to determine things like max radar range, max weapons ranges. By the way, how many of the aircraft in the reference area are flyable? Sure would like to take the F-14D out on some long-range Fleet Air Defence, and the F-18E/F out for some Harpoon practice against some enemy CVE's. Got to go. Signing off for now. Remember, for a good guns kill, one WW2 ace said, "stick all six 50's up your enemy's butt, then, pull the trigger" Mustanger789
  4. Hi Guys, First of all, thanks again. Look forward to mining your collective grey matter for any tips and hints that will be helpful in fleshing out the rest of this Sim. However, probably should correct one inaccurate impression I may have given you all. I still have not received an activation e-mail from BMS website. I can login and even reset my password, but I still cannot access the forum/download area. Have even sent a couple of e-mails to the webmaster asking what it is I might still need to do/complete in order to "git er done". !help In the mean-time, I'll explore anon6.com for anything helpful. A couple of quick questions while I'm here though, 1)are there any free add-on theatres (Taiwan for instance)? 2)is the BMS version compatible with ATI's crossfire dual video card set-up? Talk to you soon, Mustanger789
  5. Thanks, Sim installed and runs fine. Including all 7 updates. Need to tweak some of the CH Controller buttons, otherwise, A-OK. Talk to ya soon.
  6. Hello once again fellow aviators, Was able to follow the link to and register at anon6.com without ANY problems. !mental Downloaded the suggested files (3 required, plus some extras), no problem, very fast (thanks to Torrent no doubt). Although, I have to admit the files looked small in comparison to lots of other downloads. Probably all that compression. So, now it's wait until I think I've got time enough to sit down and put this Sim all together and get it right the first time. Stay tuned, I'll let you all know one way or the other how it goes. Remember, Keep thy airspeed up, lest the Earth come from below and smite thee. Mustanger789
  7. Can't thank you guys enough. Now, if I can just manage to follow directions without messing things up, I'll be shootin' down Migs in no time.
  8. Once more unto the breach, Still getting NOWHERE with the BMS site. Have tried with new and old logins. Downloaded and installed the uTorrent software. Cannot even use the link from your site without getting the "download error" message. It's beginning to look like the site is BROKEN somewhere. It looks like they took the site down at the end of march for some maintenance. I'm wondering if it all got put back together correctly? !hang I truly appreciate you taking this time to try and help, but if that site is "down" somehow, I'm not sure that you all can be of much more help. But, thanks for trying. Aviate, navigate, communicate, Mustanger789
  9. Back again, Having followed your good advice, I am now able to logon to BMS website. (good news). However, I'm still denied access to download or even edit my profile/password/etc. (bad news). Also, it seems as though there might by something wrong with the BMS file at this website, as it keeps giving me "file error" message. Probably because of the problem with the BMS site. !dash Thanks again for your quick reply to my first post. I sure hope there is going to be some kind of workaround. Beware of the Hun in the Sun, Mustanger789
  10. Hello fellow airmen, It's great to see there is such a dedicated bunch of flyers around. Bought the original Falcon 4.0 back in 1998-99. At first I found it hard to master compared to the current WWII sims of the time. Did not play it for the longest time. Then, I began to discover sites like this one and others that talked about all these great Mods that were available. Seems as though the BMS version is getting to best reviews. Since I have moved and lost track of the original Falcon 4.0 disc, I went to the trouble to order a new copy from Amazon.com. However, I am unable to download BMS 4.32 from any of the sites or links (including this one so far). For instance, I can log on to BenchmarkSims website, but since I haven't yet received the activation e-mail link, I can't navigate to the downloads area. Registered on 4-12-2014. There has been no response to several attempts to have the activation e-mail resent. I realize that this is not your problem, but since it seems as though your links go straight to that location for the download, I was hoping at least for a little friendly advise on how to hopefully resolve the situation and end up with the latest version of what should be a really great sim to get back into. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated as this site looks like the best place to go for tips and hints and all kinds of good advice once I have Falcon up and running. Hope to hear something soon. Remember, a Mig in your six, is better than no Mig at all, Check-Six, Mustanger789
