They should have switched over to the m249E4 (mk46 mod0) a long time ago to get rid of that fucking softball sized bruise making that is the mag well. It would have cut down on its jamming considerably too. Honestly I say fuck it and just have all saw gunners switch to the m240L and maybe even give it a lighter barrel version too.
(so everyone understands I was in for 6 years and MGs were my job)
