Just made a proof of concept of doing this, but on 4.5v as apposed to 5v. I'm going to use a 4.5v AAA box when I get the new one, and make it truly wireless for the headset I'm going to attemt to hard wire it with one of these, and add in a hat switch for it as well \ Just wanted to say thanks. A quick google helped me to discover this thread, and inspired me to try this on my own
