I'm going to try and make it also... Sorry I haven't been around for about the past year, but life has kept me busy. I just installed PWS and think I got things figured out, but just in case, is there anything I need to know other than adding the mods to a collection and installing them? Also, are we planning on using anything like ACRE, or does that even exist for A3 yet? Any good sounds mods (like JSRS for A2) out that we will be allowed to use on the server? Any other mods that I should have other than those listed above?

Hey guys, sorry its taken me so long to get back to you guys. I found the manuals, thanks for the heads up! I'll be trying to fly with a crappy Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. It's not that great of a stick, but I'm going to make it work for now. I don't have Track IR right now, was planning on getting that when Arma 3 releases though. I didnt know DCS World even existed. I'll have to figure that one out a little later. Unfortunately my life just got really busy again, so I might have to postpone the training and just fly on weekends (With intermittent ARMA play of course). Sorry to get you guys excited, hopefully I can get settled down again and pick it back up.

Hey guys, I decided to give DCS a try, and it's pretty difficult going so far. Since I bought the game on steam, I have no flight manual and have to learn from the in game training. If anyone would like to join and learn with me or teach me, it would be a appreciated!

I worded that wrong. I didn't mean we should port insurgency over to the CLAfghan, but that we should play it with the current TFOR mission. ACE/ACRE between events sounds like a great idea, cant wait to give it a shot.

I would love to do this. I also agree with the ACRE/ACE setup, after the initial recruitment for such games of course. I would also suggest that we allow players to run things such as sound mods (because vanilla sounds like poop) and graphics enhancements on the server. Mulching AI on insurgency gets pretty lack luster after a while also, so can we play on Afghan? I am EST/EDT, which means its around 1400/1500 for me, which is fine on either saturday or sunday. I have RL experience with fire team leadership within both foot patrols and mounted patrols within a machine gun platoon.

I agree that there were some major comm issues and mission orientation, but all in all that was a lot of fun. Cant wait for the next event!

I noticed there were sandbags placed around the aircraft spawn, and its posing a problem for me. The C-130 doesnt have the turning radius to make it out that easily. I actually managed to blown one up in the spawn area trying to get it out. Is there a way to rotate the aircraft before placing them, or somehow spawn them outside of that area so i can get one out?

Cool, I'll have to check into it, thanks! Ok, thanks for clearing that up, because I wasn't sure after reading a bunch of forums that implicated it worked the other way. I turned the sound up as high as it would go on my speakers and listened to the files again (I dunno why the files are so damn quiet). I can hear myself and myself alone. For some reason it's skipping right over other's transmission, or they might just be too quiet to hear. They were perfectly loud enough in game though, so not sure what the deal is. I'll ensure FRAPS is up to date, and if that doesnt fix it, then I'll try a re-install i guess. I just though of something. Could I need to se it to multichannel rather than stereo, because it thinks the sound diverted to the headphone is another speaker (I know its not exactly multi-channel, but i could see this being one of those stupid things that coders do sometimes)?

Calv - No, I have game audio coming through speakers, but divert TS3 comm through a USB single headphone with mic attached. Semler- That would be appreciated. I did have record external input enabled, but didnt set it to capture only when PTT was pressed. upon review of the videos, I can hear a little bit of conversation in the back ground, but it's indistinguishable and I'm almost positive that it's only picking up my transmission. Ive looked at a few forums, and it seems like it might not be possible to pick up others' transmissions if they come through a separate audio device than what is selected. Also, if i set for it to only record when PTT is pressed, then it wont ever record anyone else will it (Unless i press PTT and hold it during others' transmissions all the time, which would be pretty rude haha)? Ill have to try that program out. I downloaded the windows 7 version of movie maker yesterday, and played with it a little bit, but its going to take some practice and getting used to before i start popping videos out. Does Sony Vegas allow editing before the creation of the file, and is it free? Also, if it does allow editing, then would you recommend its editing platform over windows movie maker?
