Thank you everyone for the help, unfortunately taking off the steam overlay did not work. I am going to reinstall BF2 completely to see if it fixes the problem.

It has been a while since I have played and the reason for that is that life throws crap at you, well anyways I hope to be back playing with all of you soon. But before any of that can happen I was wondering if you guys could help me out with a problem I am having with PR? Yesterday I installed the latest update and every time I start up the game everything runs smoothly until I try to join a server in which then my game crashes to desktop without an error message. I tried playing regular BF2 and it also crashes to desktop without and error message (I am running it of STEAM). I uninstalled the game and I will be reinstalling it to see if it fixes the problem, any advice from you guys would be great. Thank you.

Bad supply crate drop/bad piloting. Map: Jabal al Burj Squad: Transport Mission: Provide ground troops with transport and deliver as many supply crates as needed. There was a squad on top of the hotel building and they ordered a crate so I willingly flew to the destination, upon arrival I got as low to the roof of the hotel and I dropped a crate, sadly my Huey got stuck on the crate. A minute later a havoc showed up and It blew my huey up (killing me instantly) and because of the explosion it killed the squad on the roof. Sad day...:*/
