Awesome to hear! You've got it about right with the following-and-observing routine for now. It's pretty much like regular Battlefield 2 in terms of concept (medic heals, ammo resupplies, grenadiers blow stuff up for giggles), but it is a good bit more complex, and somethings you won't learn until you do them for the first time. So my advice is keep observing, and maybe pick a support class such as Medic or Rifleman for the time being. Supply ammo and heal/revive when it's needed, and shoot at targets when told too. Can't get simpler than that. Later on when you feel more comfortable with the general concept of how a round works, go ahead and start choosing more specialized classes such as the Rifleman Specialist so you can deploy grappling hooks in urban maps, or Rifleman Anti-Tank so that you can have a shot at that armor that's turning the corner right now--only shoot it fast because he's about to get you!!!

Hurr hurr...but other than that, just have fun!

I started playing PR a few weeks ago and well...it takes a bit to get used to but it's worth the time investment. Start by going medic and ask someone how to heal/revive people (or read the manual).

What I've learned so far:

Make sure the mortars are pointed in the right direction before firing (thanks dman!!)

Don't take assets you don't know how to use properly.

Try and join Badploy's squad as he will yell at you until you do it right ;)
