Possible alternate to TrackIR

He?s trying to use the gyro?s in smart phones to track the head movement and use it ingame, i think this is interesting, since it?s a cheaper alternate to TrackIR(if you already own a smart phone with a gyro).it?s a WIP but he?s planning on releasing it as open source(Source: http://xiatek.org/ )

If this guy gets this to work, it will be better than a trackIR. My main issue with trackIR is that often when turning my head to far it doesnt register the trackclip so the view gets fucked up. Using the gyro like this you wont have that problem at all. I'd look into this even though I have trackIR

dude, just use your tin foil hat if you're so scared :) also remember to use it while using the microwave.. and while talking on your phone... actually any time you have it with you! also when you're watching TV, listening to Radio, being close to computers.. or cities!
