This notice is an invitation for all those interested flight sim pilots out there in the UK and in North / South America who would be interested in being apart of an organized group of pilots to fly at or near the full realism levels of difficulty within the world of IL-2 1946 as well as IL-2 Cliffs Of Dover (COD) that is expected to be released in April of 2011 in the states and late March in the UK.

The theme for this group is to fly as a German Luftwaffe "Gruppe" or Group in English under the tag of "III./ZG26". ZG26 historically flew as a Heavy Fighter / Jabo unit in practically all theatres of operation in Europe against the allied forces during World War II.

The 3rd Group for ZG26 is the newly organized "International Group" which is for English speaking pilots. The first and second groups are for German speaking pilots over in Western Europe.

Aircraft flown primarily in the 3rd Group would be the BF-109 series of aircraft to include the BF-110, Ju-87, Ju-88 as well as the He-111 Heinkel bomber to support the servers that ZG26 flies in as a "Squad".

There are dedicated forums / web site as well as a Team speak 3 server for our usage that is hosted over in Germany by the Staff of ZG26.

If interested in joining the 3rd Group of ZG26, you will need to have or be willing to purchase Track IR, be able to fly at or near the full realism difficulty setting, have a gaming rig that can support the latest stock version of IL-2 1946 as well as the upcoming IL-2 Cliffs Of Dover flight sim per its system requirements advertised on the web. If you do not have the necessary pilot skill sets but are interested in joining the 3rd Group, training can be provided for you accordingly.

Looking for mature team players 18 years and older. Younger applicants will be decided upon in a case by case basis.

Leadership positions will be available depending on pilot skill and personality.

There will be (3) Staffels of 12 pilots each to make up the 3rd Group. So lots of room to grow with your fellow pilots.
