  2. Hey guys! If any of you have been wanting to grab Arma 3 and want to play with us lads, now is a GREAT time. We do events very often and we would love for more players to come along!
I HIGHLY recommend you purchase the Arma 3 Apex EditionIt will get you set for our events and make everything MUCH easier when setting up mods.

If you have a little spare dough, then grab the new DLC - S.O.G PRAIRIE FIRE It's amazing! Hope to see you out there!

that was bad in the 80s... but today virtually every IT service employee vacuums or blows the computer clean. of course, theoretically, something can happen... but it is more likely that you destroy something yourself by touching it than that too much static builds up...

this is a fallacy. static is formed by friction. static does not matter whether it is vacuum or blown. would work both ways. So if you don't vacuum, you also shouldn't blow... ^^

Just because it's less common now, doesn't mean DO IT. You wouldn't walk into an old minefield because theres a high chance a mine won't blow up... Doesn't mean one wont. It goes for when you build a PC, you always ground yourself due to static electricity, whats the difference between a vacuum? Compressed air is by far the better and SAFER option. BAD PRACTICE!

  4. Never seen a thread like this before, title of thread a little confusing, I thought it was an admin trying to get =VG= members lol. Either way I guess it's nice to get some player names out there for being and continuing to be good players!

I am putting @TowerDuckout there! Great player, does any infantry role you give him and will do a damn good job of it! Great sense of humour, never dull playing a round with this Duck!walking duck GIF by South Park

but for some reason we haven't fully migrated and why the diehard PR guys don't like Arma as much as PR when Arma facilitates our type of gaming even better

I think it’s because PR feels far more casual and easy to stick too and it’s something we all know very well, so it’s hard to break away from it, it also probably has something to do with the fact that Arma is very hard to run compared to PR being able to run on anything nowadays.

Although I agree, I would love to have a more diverse community, playing more Arma or Squad. Only doing events isn’t going to do that for us though unfortunately. We need the public un-modded Arma server to be something that will get players joining more! (cough, Invade and Annex), but that’s a whole different discussion

  6. We don't (at least not ones I know of) choose based off assets. There are so many factors that go into setting a map - Player count, player skill, new players, old players, frustrating maps that will make new players leave and way more. We don't enjoy doing easy walk in the park maps either, it's boring. For example, we tried to play Charlies Point the other day with only 20 players, because we wanted a challenge, yet we had to run next because the rest of the team was fairly new and we were being slaughtered and ended up with about 10 players left.

It just so happens that the maps that are much easier are asset heavy, unless it's an Inf layer where it generally feels very even.

TLDR; We don't pick maps because of assets, there are way more factors than that. A lot of new players leave harder maps and kills the server.

Sadly, we will always have some form of cheater  involved in any game. Even in PR, we catch players with speed hacks, aim bots, and a variety of other stuff and look how long we have been hosting it.

Even WAR THUNDER has people with scripts and cheaters.

Right now, it isn't too bad, but I would enjoy the game as much as one can right now before it gets too popular.

Yeah cheaters are in every game, and will be forever. Not even AAA developers/anti cheats can keep up. Enlisted seems to be clean at the moment, no obvious cheaters at least. I highly suggest anyone that can run it, to check it out!! It's great fun, me and M8 had a blast last night, get a friend to join!

Sadly, it has been confirmed.  DEVS know it is an issue, and quote:

"summary: -avoid iron sight focus, alt tabbing seems to help "reset" players frozen by it -thermals will crash your client if its not the first map you load. So tell asset whores to restart every map"

@X0Rwas nice knowing ya. The devs are trying to make us god pilots extinct!

  9. Yes agreed. Please just get a few mods that have it all, we don’t need these useless dress up mods. The Dev server already takes up about 50gb+ of just mods on my HDD which is crazy to me. It literally makes me want to uninstall the game because it feels like such a waste of space when I don’t play Arma that often and it’s also why I didn’t join events for a long time!

To add on to this - people struggle running the game already, let alone with 2000 more assets and gear. I love mods, but it has to be playable
