    Last I had asked about COOP and running bots on one side and humans on the other, there was not a lot of information presented.  We'll have to do our research.  If anyone would like to help and assemble some helpful links to wiki's, downloads and their description, etc., it would be greatly appreciated and save us some time when we go to evaluate this idea and its feasibility of running on our dedi.

    Several things you'll need or want. Following below.

    2. BF3:RM Server App Form: https://forms.gle/WLDDFw2nmpDauocE8 (Fill this out to request access to the server files and as a note, you'll need to be in their discord such like PR's Server Admins discord to speak as a server rep for your server.)
    3. Procon: https://myrcon.net/files/file/29-procon-client/ (The ability to remote control the server, map, name, player count, map list, etc remotely)
    4. Procon Plugins: https://myrcon.net/files/category/7-plugins/ (If you ever wanna add stuff to procon that might allow like Motd's in chat, better administration in chat, etc)
    5. VU Mods: https://community.veniceunleashed.net/c/modding/10 (If you wanna add some cool mods that aren't possible with VU)
    6. Fun-Bots: https://github.com/Joe91/fun-bots (The ability to add bots to either both teams or just one team with tons of customization included, I also wanna add that the bots will utilize vehicles, so AT and what not is a thing that is needed for the game, so every role is pretty much like PR. )

    (Feel free to edit this list if you find any newer or cooler things you'd like to add or put into this list as a requirement. I should also add that mods like Fun-bots and RM and all that are downloaded automatically on server connect as well!) 

    I also have quite the bit of experience running VU Servers if any help is needed getting one running and or administrating it.

    The whole base of this thread was to make it all week, not just on the weekends.  So the poll reflects that.

    There is some stuff to polish like making sure the auto-balance doesn't move over bots but players only. Also it would be helpful to allow players to take squad-lead position when joining a bot squad. Also there seems to be an issue with asset squads, since we can make like 3 squads, it's sometimes hard to enforce asset rules.     As Polish has said x2 now, while yea there wouldn't be that many people on, the bot count gives us some fun and experimentation on the idea of how deadly the bots are in assets, say you can drive a asset and let them be a gunner, would make for interesting position pushes and or fights, see who all brings out AT, or who brings in the AA, or who just mows down the jeeps and what not. 

  4. And this is why I said that people should have the ability to choose, do they wanna play on the PvE server? Cool, go play on the PvE server, if say I wanna go play on the PvPvE server? Cool, i can go play on that and have my own fun, because to me, PvE is boring as fuck, and since i already know the maps in and out, its basically just a run and gun and shoot simulator, and you die, and you don't get any enjoyment out of it, while in the PvPvE server, we could have assets and we can switch teams to do other vehicles, other assets we wouldn't normally have due to the fact that we are stuck on one side of the server 24/7. It adds enjoyment to the game, and adds a new difficulty to the game that the PvE is just lacking, stale, boring. 

    Hell, why i'm enjoying Danesh's server so much, because its actually fun, and it adds a sense of enjoyment being able to play with assets you normally would never get a chance to touch or fly or drive or boat with, etc.

    We won't be running a deployment server, even with the PvP running good it's rare to see even 40 human players at any one time. The benefit of Coop PvP is that it avoids the issue of not having enough players to cap points if the bots can do it.

    Yes, maps are unbalanced, not much can be done or will be done to solve this. If it's not fun people won't play it and we will go back to having one coop server.

    This is a player based server, if the players aren't enjoying it or don't want it then we will stop running it. If they continue to want it on the weekends then I will continue to turn it on Fridays and off on Sundays.

    Also, i'd moderate the server from dawn to dusk if i had too, Honestly the most fun I've had in PR, PvE grows stale and boring because you know where everything is, and with players with bots on the same team, it makes more of a dynamic balance on the map, especially with different maps / layers. Would rather play on the PvPvE than the PvE server at this point and moderate it myself if i have too from dawn to dusk as said.

I would love to see 2 servers, the main being used for PvE, and the secondary one being used for PvPvE but has all the layers on it, with both up 24/7, would be a lot of fun, and for those who like PvP but hate deployment, would be a fun enviroment, as well as those who just like PvE could join the existing PvE server! 

    Just my suggestion is all, as said, would love to see 2 servers up, i absolutely fucking loved the PvPvE server.

Was thinking this over, and had some thought on getting a VG MC Server up, specifically modded, like say enigmatica 6, since it seems like a really fun pack, and it has a lot of mods to it, but wanted to ask what you guys thought, as well as i don't know if this is the wrong section, blame M82 if it is, it was all his idea! (Well the MC Server was mine, but posting here was his idea!) Anyway, as said, was a idea i had for VG and wondered how many people would be interested in said modded MC Server and all that, would be fun.

    In short:
    TFAR = Bit more hardcore but requires people to use Teamspeak and not everyone knows how to use TFAR, can be confusing.
    Vanilla = Anyone can talk but obvioulsy not as "realistic" and proxy comms are trash in Vanilla Arma (SUPER QUIET)

    Prefer ACRE2 myself, more realistic and all that. And the radio's are actually fun to look at as well as have a 3D model you can move around in your hands to adjust radio stuff and volume, etc.

    Logistics wise, the Tech Team here had left off on a project to make a central mod repository on the VG servers, so multiple servers would not need duplicates of mods taking up precious space.  We only have a hundred gig's free...  So this project was going to be resumed when I got done with my personal project (AVCS CORE) of the past 8 months.  I just released my first Beta test last week, and already found a major problem requiring a complete rewrite of the App for VoiceAttack in a different language.  Basically, I'm back at the grindstone for another week or at least through this weekend, though I am making swift progress translating and testing it.

    TLDNR; A3 has been on the back burner for more than one reason this year, so I hate to report that this is just not possible at this very time, but may be possible in the near future once we hammer out the long needed logistics of running A3 and mods properly on a server with limited resources such as SSD space, with a system to update mods without you all having to physically download them yourself and then upload them to the server.


    I'll post up again next week or whenever I touch base with Ciro.  Thanks to everyone for their patience!  We definitely want to get some cool A3 missions and mods running, including more regular weekend events in them.

    I just thought i'd give a idea of a mod that a lot of us have been having a lot of fun with, and a alternative to a liberation style mission is all, take your time semler, remember im always here to support you if you need it.

So me and @=VG= asquirrel456 and @=VG= m823us and @chickenjason123 have been playing some Arma 3 / Vindicta and i was wondering if we could have a public server like Anistasia or what not does, the liberation server, and have like ACE and RHS and Acre 2 and CBA and CUP and JSRS and Shacktac maybe to play with with Vindicta, was wondering if we could get a play session or server up for it so anyone who wants to continue the liberation of the island could hop on and play, I know i'd be a good 24/7 player on it, being able to play with ACRE talking to people on comms ingame and getting immersed in the fighting.

    As well as i could put together a modpack if need be for the mod list's we need for Vindicta, always up for debate on which mods we want, but the above like ACE and CBA are needed to play vindicta but it'd be nice to play with more like RHS and CUP and Acre 2 and Shacktac and JSRS for the immersion. Alway's up for additions / subtractions to the mod list, as said, ill put one together and i'd love for suggestions for what the community or what not want around it and we have like a voting system of how many people would willingly use it VS not using said addons, for instance some addons like JSRS and Shacktac are client side while RHS and ACE and Vindicita etc are server side. 

    Just thought i'd bring it up considering me and @=VG= asquirrel456 and @=VG= m823us and @chickenjason123  are having fun on the mod / mission!

    Did exactly this, this morning like 8 times, gets really annoying when you get killed like 30 times by friendly fire because people are so lazy and don't wanna check if their firing at friendly or enemy.
