BF2 : Debug assortion Failed..

man, i ran into to an another problem now.

been gone for one week now. When i came back, i tried to launch BF2
Then a window pop ups and say

Debug assertion failed!

I'd suggest a reinstall.
These errors generally mean corrupt files.

BTW have you modded common_client.zip in any way?

That is a strange file path there.. are you sure that path is where your BF2 is installed? Also did you try running bf2.exe directly rather than thru the desktop shortcut?

i dont know where it got that path from.
My game is installed in C:\programfiles\eagames\bf2 ..........

probably you haven't deleted whole game last time and there's still some files in your registry
delete pr and bf if you have time and delete registry files

let "regedit" help you :D

That path is just a BF2 engine fail.. It kind of remembers where the uncompiled code files were under development and show the directories in errors like that.. Though i have never seen that error before but there is something wrong with ClientArchives.con or Common_client.zip or the game engine's zip file reader.. If you get someone to send you those files it might fix it, if it don't i guess you need to reinstall.
