  5. FYI - we have some old friends from an eastern european group that play Arma 3 exclusively which will be hanging around for some months, or longer. The UA MilSim Community is mostly non-english speaking folks, yet their squad leaders all speak English as far as I understand it. We will be hosting a couple A3 servers for them in addition to providing a dedicated set of channels in VG TeamSpeak for them as well. Their modset includes ACRE, so this means that VOIP in their actual server channels will be restricted to those on their server and with the ACRE mod installed. If all goes well, and they are pleased with the servers and service we offer, after a 30 day trial, they will donate each month at a regular set amount for compensation of the hardware provided and service of assisting and maintaining these servers under our roof. Please also remember that not all of them speak English, and that they mostly will be doing their own thing with their own people. They may likely run events now and then, but it will be up to them whether it will open to just UA MilSim Community members, or including the general public and/or VG Arma 3 regulars. Expect to see users with the =JS= tag on VG TeamSpeak and other places here, and know that they are welcome members of the UA MilSim Community.
  6. of course I'll try to be there again in June but also in the next two days.
  7. We have decided that VG will be hosting a singular memorial event in June, every year. What began as a memorial for Vincent James will now evolve into a memorial event for any/all past members, and we will soon adjust the event details to reflect that long prior to the event taking place.
  8. Awesome also haven't seen you in a while .
  9. Sounds good, i have some work at 12.00 midday to 4.00pm Wednesday and Thursday but will be around before and after these times so no worries.
  10. Hi all! Its been almost a year since =VG= Skiddles passed away. We should come together and play some PR in his memory. Throughout 2024 April 10-11 (wednesday - thursday) hop on PR and get some proper teamplay going, something that he would have enjoyed too. This is not an official event so no special map or anything, no start or finish time. If somebody knows his favorite maps post it below so we can set some of those. See you all in game!
  11. interesting, dried up thermal paste could be one of the reasons for that. But anyways take care of your new gpu : >
  12. Ya so this card is a beast. The fans don't even come on at ultra settings playing for couple hours. My old card would be so loud with fans blasting so much heat was like I was mining btc. This card is great. My pc is a beast. Wow.
  13. Had to take it to a local guy bcus of issue I had, but it's installed and now I'm about to go test it out!
  14. I'm installing mine later. Keep u posted. Ty!
  15. Welp, i'm not buying it that soon anyways. It's the 4GB one, that i mostly found cheaper. I'll keep that in mind for the 8GB. As for the rest of the items is like in my wishlist atm, like Asrock B450M-HDV and a Ryzen 3330X 3.8 GHz, they're probably are my ideal setup. Gotta get some bucks for it or sell/trade-in my old PC for smth else.
  16. @=VG= Inch I forget what does NVIDIA GPU have which the other competitors don't which lead to a lot buying them. One of my customer did told me last time. Can't really recall it though but some old solid YT reveiwer videos might have the answer to it or definitely someone here do know more about it. Anyways, not sure bout the price tag in Indonesia for used and new GPUs but I surely know you guys have high tax for electronics same goes for Malaysia. So it will depend on your budget. RX 480 & 580 is still fine but do get the 8GB variant as more head room. Also do check the fin stack of the gpu before buying it (check to see any rust or corrosion. As it will degrade the cooling of the gpu if it's presence). GTX 10 Series is also fine as well & it is also a similar case for the RX 400/500 Series GPUs. Can also opt for used GTX 16 Series/RX 5000 Series Not sure your CPU though as there might be potential bottleneck since you might be using an old gen CPU base on your GPU information. Bottleneck in terms of CPU already reach 100% usage but gpu is like 20~40% usage which is a GPU bottlenecking which result in drop of FPS as the GPU could not fully utilize the performance. Anyways, if it's still works, don't buy it if you have a super tight budget.
  17. @Cruizer what's so good about NVIDIA VGA's really? I've been using GT 210 for a long time really shows me it's age (sometimes graphic bugs hits me in PR causing me to delete shader cache to fix it) I'm looking for good and cheapest AMD VGA's probably in future PC builds, any ideas or should i stick to NVIDIA stuff all over again? I'm trying to avoid Intel as they mostly (still) expensive here than AMD's. So far, i found RX 480 and 570/580 ones being recommended, is it any good? ***I'm just playing PR as in for now (with so many games at library, not sure what to pick one to play, as my currently can't handle all of them)
  18. Not all SUPER line is great especially the latest SKU of the 4070 Ti SUPER which is utterly rubbish from my point of view. Would just skip that card & take 4080 or 4080 SUPER. Since lack of competition from AMD & INTEL, NVIDIA mostly do what it want since they have the market dominance. INTEL GPU not much entering in the high performance sector (yet). But there's still people hoping for INTEL to enter so there will be additional player for NGREEDIA to stop with their BS. (That is why EVGA exit GPU market thanks to NVIDIA) Will see if they gonna release a 4090 SUPER before 50 Series or in conjunction with it. It's highly possible for them to do so since they have the money & plentiful of consumer scapegoats *cough* NVIDIA Fanbois *cough* (no offence if anyone got triggered by it).
  19. Looks like a winner to me! I also opted for the "Super" line, back in 2018/2019 I got the ASUS ROG STRIX Nvidia RTX 2070 Super rather than the 2080 (non-super), and was a very good buy. Still going strong. I've not kept up with the latest cards or developments, all know is that they are power hungry. What I do know is that if/when I need to upgrade my 2070 Super, it will likely involve buying a new more powerful Power Supply and redoing all the painfully difficult (but well routed) cable runs throughout my case, and won't be a simple card-swap. My 750 Watts PSU just won't cover it with these new cards, and ya never wanna reuse cable runs if you get a new PSU, even if you have modular cables and the PSU is the exact same brand (or even model!), and imho it's one of the most annoying parts of building a case. Shit is too short to run the way you want, or too long and you have to make dumbass looking doglegs - and if you want it done right, you spend all the time and you definitely make sure you can replace just one fan (for example) down the road without having to yoink its cable out of a rats nest and undo all that fancy cable routing work.
  20. Perfect, this card comes with the required 12V connector and also happy that you didnt get the msi ventus card as apperently in msi ventus there's a vrm left out of any cooling and it just keeps cooking itself inside.
  21. In my profile you can see my pc specs I can't see them on mobile rn, ty. And I bought this card
  22. there's an awesome site called pcpartpicker.com thats a goto site when you buy pc hardware it will find you the cheapest deal. Have you already made a purchase? Which video card with its full name and model have you bought? Which power supply with its full name and model number do you have? It will make it easy to assist you.
  23. NVIDIA 40 Series & onwards (NGREEDIA will implement this connectors for future cards) uses a new connector than the older Series which uses the standard 6+2/8-Pin EPS/PCI-E Connectors. If you are using an older PSU, you won't have any PCIE5.0/12VHPWR cable(pic 2). Only newer PSU already have them implemented. But you can purchase the Adapter(pic 1) in which it uses 3x 8-Pin EPS/PCI-E to 12-Pin (top 4Pin I don't count as it's mostly signal pins) 12VHPWR If let's say your PSU is a low wattage & only have 2x 8-Pin PCI-E Cable, I will say, good luck in trying to power the new gen gpu. Or if you lost 1 of the cable, good luck as well.
  24. Ok, so I can't unplug the 3080 and plug in the 4070, I'm not sure what I need then. Haven't done this in a while lol.
