  2. Man I don’t want to have to take a virtual combat lifesaver course just to play with some friends on an event! When in doubt, use KISS, keep it simple stupid! Especially for dummies like me. Now when we doing this Nam event?
  3. Thank you for your time, it is greatly appreciated. I will certainly take heed. Vags
  4. This is covered in the BMS Manual under Multiplayer TL;DNR ... IPv6 is already supported by BMS, and will naturally take over once everyone is IPv6 instead of IPv4. Until then, those with IPv6 provided by their ISP still also have IPv4 addresses. If using IPv6 for hosting in BMS, all players connected must have IPv6 available and use that only. You can find this section in the BMS Manual around page 79:
  5. An extraction profile I built today specifically for the AV-8B Harrier, that enables me to hit switches that are not available in the pit. Up until now we had to rely on keyboard short cuts, to set IFF, ILS, Landing lights, Oxygen & Anti-Ice switches. Also the RWR is not a feature in the standard Harrier that had been removed but thanks to Helios we have it back. This will replace my RTT Remote Client which seems a little primitive after creating this.

  6. All, Just curious as to how to establish a IPv6 training session using the BMS multiplayer UI. I am able to create a IPv4 no problem but if v4 is on its way out I would like to at least be informed of v6. Thank you for your time, Vags

Yeah Helios is pretty amazing, I'm getting so many ideas about what I could use it for, the mind boggles. This one is a great option if you dont have a dedicated ICP, and the Altimeter & HSI enable me to modify their settings without the need to look down. Helios connects to Falcon BMS via the Full BMS keyfile. Took me a little while to get my head around the mapping but once you get it sorted its a piece of cake.

I'm going to create profiles for the AV-8B+ Harrier, F/A-18 Hornet, and the F-15C Eagle, this will enable me to use the tablet to control systems that are not available in the pit. It may also mean I could potentially use my slider to control the VTOL nozzles, gimme time to work that one out, its a biggie!

  9. oh that does sound good. I'll check it out thx
  10. @=VG= The_Polish_Guythere is a workshop mod that allows people to play praire fire without DLC. I don't know how it works but it does explain it in the description of the mod. Just something worth looking into if you do want to do some 'nam! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2477276806

  16. Nice event. Enjoyed it very much. I especially liked the suspense when we knew that there was a player controlled enemy around us.
