  1. @deadpool - added you to mech inf, random kit slot. Welcome aboard! Holy Moly! Didn't expect this to happen within such sort period of time, but looks like the roaster is full! Thank you all who signed up. If there are more ppl interested, post up. HQ is considering providing CO with additional support assets and if there are more brave souls wishing to join, then they shall have their chance! I'll see the rest of you on 17th. Make sure to give your sacrifises and prayers to the PR !angel so that the server would stay stable during the missions. Seals - Make sure you get together at least once to do a bit of training. !bb Same goes to pilots - A couple of minutes in the shooting range doesn't hurt !hunter Pack your gear and epipens. The operation has a green light!!
  2. @FPSGeraud -:Thanks for signing up as the CO. I'll send you additional info and tasks that need to be done before each of the missions are a go. @sillymoose - all additional info and objectives will be thrown to the CO during the mission. I like to keep you guys in a dark as long as I can !crazy
  3. @madsrm - Yes, we have few more slots available, Added you to mech inf as LAT @Recon - I kind of want to save the randomness and fun factor that the PR currently has. Turning into Arma PR kind of ruins it. That's why I have left few smaller bits out like big Commander plans and the massive Briefings. The Commander and SQLs would have to think on the spot and adapt to new situatations as they are thrown to them by HQ. Of course, I won't stop CO to plan it beforehand as most of the info is already given out. Also, the short planning time would give both sides few minutes to prepeare for the mission at the beginning. (specially for the badboys) And about !crazy snipers... !crazy We all know that as long as the event is done by TEDF, the sniper is a nonono no nooooo. !crazy
  4. That's why I brought the journalist kit up. It removes everything from the player - Map, HUD and the weapon. Only way to survive against bots is luck, friendlies and moving your little legs !crazy
  5. What I had in mind was : Missions 1 & 2 - You would stick with whatever squad you like & is willing to take you with them (except Mech inf for transport slot problem) and do what journalists do. Mission 3 - You would play the role of a VIP journalist, who happens to jump in a wrong BH at the wrong time and gets stranded in Ramiel alongside with navy seals and 2 pilots. Let me know what you think and if you accept the VIP role in final mission. Also any additional ideas are welcome.
  6. So if I assume correctly, you would like to play as a journalist guy who runs around with a camera and doesnt engage in combat? In that case I can easily spawn in a journalist kit for you. Also, that way I could join Sparky on the last mission and leave you as a VIP (?). It's up to you.
  7. Recon, is it ok if I put you in Seals team? Could use your expertise in impossible situations :-) Now in terms of respawn timer - I would like to keep the wounded time as it is because Melon's minions havent evolved that far to know how to give up and respawn. 2minutes wounded would mean that if a mech inf squad runs into pack of bots and defeats tem, then the rest of the team would have another 3 minutes to roam around freely without any resistance until the buggers finally return. @evergreen Thanks for reminding me, totally forgot. The players are requiered to stick with the role they signed up as. It is not allowed to request any other kits from supply creates. However, you are allowed to pick up kits from fallen brothers. UPDATED RULES SECTION
  8. Most of the things are mentioned in the briefing. My original thought was to act as a HQ that gives the commander additional orders and then it's up to him to direct the resources and manpower as he sees fit to accomplish the objective. If we don't get a volunteer for lead, then I'll foward HQ messages over as a server message during the round and it would be up to SQLs to decide who goes where. Ideally I would like to make the operation as realistic as possible in comms and command wise, meaning that the CO would be the one leading the show. Stucture would look like as following : 1. Order comes from HQ 2. CO recieves the order, plans out the course of action he sees fit, assigns nessesary assets and gives out the plan order to SQLs 3. SQLs carry out the plann by leading theyr squad to the objective using the resources that have been assigned by the CO. Once objective is complete/failed, report back to CO !offtopic Also, as one of the Navy Seal team members propably wont be able to attend, the spot for a breacher is open.
  9. 20.00 seems to be the most reasonable right now. Yes, it would be quite late for eastern europeans (11 pm for me), but we'll have to look at a bigger picture here. 20.00 would be : 1) around 12AM -1 PM for West Coast guys - Could squeese few hours down from the event start, but... 2) around 6-7 AM for our Aussie brothers which means that our most dedicated PR dudes would have at least some chance to join.
  10. I have a special request to the now full Navy Seals Team - Please take some time to get together and practise working with just 4 of you in a squad on a normal round, before the event. Find out your strenght and weaknesses. Also, wouldn't hurt if pilots could spend few minutes in the shooting range as well !gundown Only 9 original slots left! Thank you all who have already signed up. If the original roaster gets filled and there's still interest in joining, I'll add more additional slots to the half-empty squads. !cheers
  11. Heads up to all who have or are planning to sign up to Navy Seal team - I know that it's cool to be part of elite SF squad, but Think this through, before applying. You'll be going against 48 elite difficulty bots with only 2 pilots equipped with pistols as backup. Aslo, you all propably already noticed that Sparky will be playing as one of the Badboys which means - watch your step! If you fail in protecting the VIP, you'll also make it more difficult for the entire team to achieve their coals in the next Episode. (No pressure !crazy )
  12. mectus11 LAN_WROTE ... Would be nice if there is some realism factor in the squads as in your forum rank matters in that squad, a proper working chain of command would be lovely. I was thinking of having a proper comms system, meaning that all requests and chatter must go through the commander = Need supply drop - call the CO, Need reinforcements, call the CO and so on. Not sure how well it would go tho. Will look into it.
  13. Campaign Episode I : "LIBERATION" 17th October 2015 - 20:00 PRT (project reality time) Briefing : US Marines on board USS Essex have finally arrived in the seas of Middle East! HQ has given them 3 important tasks to complete. As the relations with neighbouring countries like Iran is on edge and HQ doesn't want to provoke them even more, heavy air and artillery support is currently unavailable. USSOCOM has dispatched their elite Navy Seals team to help the Marines. Mission I - "Free like a bird" Marines will be inserted to the US OP near the city of Karbala. Their mission is to locate and rescue a high value VIP who holds important information about insurgent camp locations and who also has knowledge of special operations planned by the USSOCOM. Intel suggests that insurgents are using explosives and mines to protect the city and their key positions. The VIP must be brought back to OP by the helicopter. Pickup points will be set by the Commander at the beginning of the mission. Mission II - "GARY" The Marines are redeployed to the city of Fallujah. Their mission is simple - Capture the city and remove any insurgent activity in the AO. Intel suggests that insurgents are using heavy explosives and civilian vehicles as a delivery method. Pilots will have a free selection due to lack of choppers on the map. They can choose whatever inf role they would like to fill. As there are 2 one man LAVs, I'll think about giving out those assets as well, but not at the moment. Mission III - "Black Hawk Down" USSOCOM BH carrying Navy seal team & the VIP was shot down over the city of Ramiel. Marines are dispached to the city in order to locate the survivors and escort them to the port SE of the city. The enemy strenght and assets in the AO are currently unknown. Additional intel will be given once the rescute team has moved out. Consept : Survivors - Navy Seals, 2 Pilots, VIP Rescue team must start the search from the west part of the city. They are allowed to advance only once the flags in the way have been captured. Meanwhile the survivors have a similar task. They will start at the eastern part of the city and will have to work their way down to the west and meet the rescue team by capturing the flags on the way. Once together with the resuce team, the VIP and Seals must be escorted to the port SE of the city. Mission Rules : 1) NO respawn on SQL for Survivors. - Once you go dead - dead, you are not allowed to spawn on the SQL. But you can join the attacking team moving in from the west. 2) VIP - It's better to make sure that he survives the mission and gets to the port safely. Otherwise there will be consequences in the next episode !crazy 3) Absolutely no communication is allowed between survivors and rescuers during the search - This will be accomplished by moving the survivors over to the OPFOR mumble channel. As there's no way to remove the map, It's up to the players to role play through the mission like they don't know where the other team is :P 4) As both of the pilots are on the survivor team, No heli transport is available during the mission. 5) Both teams must reach each other by capturing the flags on the way. No flag jumping is allowed! Roaster : VIP/Badguy I - TEDF Badguy II - Sparky Commander : FPSGeraud Journalist : Recon 1. Mech INF : 1) SQL - keed 2) Medic - [EJE-ES]_Martin 3) Light AR - SerEvergreen 4) LAT - madsrm 5) Rifleman/Driver - Sledgehammer 6) Rifleman/gunner - l3RY4N' 7) Breacher - zero_tolerance_s 8) Picked by SQL - Lord_Deadpool 2. Regular INF : 1) SQL - m823us =VG= 2) Medic - sillymoose 3) Light AR - Ryan.TT 4) Medium AR - Opiak 5) LAT - mectus11 6) Breacher - Terremer 7) Rifleman - asquirrel456 8) Picked by SQL - Torval 3. Choppa crew : 1) SQL/Pilot - PBAsydney 2) Pilot - Orracis 4. Navy Seals : 1) SQL - Warrant_Officer 2) Medic - zolee19721 3) Breacher - Tophat 4) Light AR - GalacticImpact 5. Logistics, aka Truck Boys : 1) SQL - Ben 2) Digger I - Mikel 3) Digger II - PonchoVia1 4) Digger III - sp0nge1337 Campaign Rules : 1. Veterans - Gaming main server rules (exceptions for VIP !crazy ) 2. Last flag is out of play which means Bluefor is not allowed to attack/camp it. (VIP Missions) 3. For the time being, event will be signup only which means only people who have been signed up will be allowed on the server during the event. (Password will be given before event begins, on TS) 4. CAS is unavailable 5. No mortars! 6. UAV is unavailable 7. Transport choppers may be used as a UAV ( Karbala only) 8. Squad leaders and the Commander are required to have a working mic in order for communication between squads to work properly. It's not required for other roles. 9. Password for the server will be given around 30mins before event starts on TS 10. All players are requiered to stick to the role they signed up as. It is not allowed to request any other kits from the supply creates. Failure to comply with the rules may lead to player getting removed from the event and any of the future ones as well. Additional info : If all squad slots aren't filled by the end of signup, the squads will be scrambled and merged. If not enough people sign up, additional time will be given. If the pop is still low, the event won't be run. Additional squads will be added if the current slots are filled. If the organized squad system doesn't work out as intended, random squads will be used instead. The event time may be changed if the current one doesn't suit with majority of players. =VG= TED(F)
  14. Thanks mate. The videos that don't make it to this event's footage, will most likely be used in one of the future ones that I've already planned. (A little hint about it in the text again !crazy )
  15. Thank you all who sent me the clips and those who took their time to help me with creating the clips I needed on the server. !cheers I've got everything I need and the event factory is working 24/7 to finish the nessesary preparations for grand release. The event will have similar settings as the last one : 1) Squad roaster 2) Mostly inf oriented 3) Yes, it will be on Muttrah. But don't worry, it won't be as the usual, boring ones. (I hope !crazy ) Stay tuned for more. (Also, If all goes according to plan, be prepeared to book the weekends of the first 2 months of 2016 for a scenario event series. )
  16. Hi all! I have reached a deadend with few things concidering the next PR event and would like to ask your help, dear PR-holics! In order to finish a project I'm currently working on, I require Muttrah City gameplay footages (would do it myself, but after 3h of recording and looking through it I finally decided that I'm the worst recorder in recoring history). If you happen to have any videos of a round on Muttrah layin on your hardrive and you would like to condribute, please send them away to my PM box. Doesn't matter if they are 5sec long, or 24h, funny or serious. As long as they are from muttrah, it's good. The next event won't be far out now. Just need to finish up few minor things and then the next phase, setting up the server files, will begin. Thank you in advance and stay tuned for more info! P.S. As a reward, there are hidden clues about the next event in this post ;)
  17. I do like the SURVIVAL one. hmm... Have had tests with bots + human Commander on Ramiel with good results. Could do one where humans are allowed only to use pilot kits and would have to survive certain amount of time in the city before rescue. Also with no respawn on SQL + 5-10minute penalty before being able to return to the squad maybe... Maybe even could merge that BH down + Survival. The big problem would be to get the bots to cooperate tho. They can be really good and annoying when they follow orders, but they do have the nasty habit of going berserk from time to time !crazy Anyways, love the ideas. Keep them coming and we shall see what future holds :) EDIT : I'm sure Sparky would love one of those PVP insurgent side events !crazy
  18. Event factory is already producing one. Hang tight. Won't be long now !winker
  19. Hate to be the party breaker, but current VG COOP record belongs to Mr Hombre = 36000+ points on Lashkar Valley which includes 400+ kills, 0 deaths, 156 RTBs & 3415 RPG rockets. !crazy (normal round with 20 players on the server) Happy hunting! !eatmyuzi !hunter
  20. Also, I managed to get myself some extra free time, which means MOAR PR releated events!
  21. I'm sure Sparky would love to play as Opfor on the insurgency thingy, against human players !crazy
  22. From what I've heard, the change was intentional to make it more difficult to win the rounds. Not 100% sure as it didn't come from Melon himself
  23. Loved the Ramiel one where you guys stepped on every single trap placed inside the buildings in that compound !crazy Wish my toaster could let me to record stuff. The sound of an explosion every 5 seconds was quite amusing. Also, shoutout to the squad who was 5m away from the VIP on Karbala and walked off !haha
