Bump. New update is out. 1.5.3. Can we get the server updated?

1.5.3.1 is out, nothing seems to happen after the intro movie but they changed the font? lol

you could go to the following location

C:\Program Files (x86)\Project Reality\Project Reality BF2\mods\pr\movies

and delete the 2 .bik files. I always do this as it seems to create more FPS.

 

In the original BF2 this was done to as the main menu was playing in the background while playing ingame. i guess the same can be said for PR.

sometimes i wonder if they actually tests the update they throw out. like it should not be that hard to spot a crashing startup screen or is it just me. 

 

Anyway good thing its fixed the karbala issue should also be fixed so the map should in theory be playable. But i guess only time shall teach us

The crash only occured for XP / Vista users. The people who are doing testing just don't happen to have such ancient operating systems.

Tried Karbala offline, seemed to be working normal. Though it seems we lost Iron Ridge for time being, no coop version yet.

So is the server gonna be up today or are we gonna have to wait until tomorrow? Not in an aggressive pretentious way, in an "I don't know how this shit works and have no experience in programming thus my knowledge on this is based on pure logic and guess" kinda way.

Well updating the server itself is not a huge task and could be done in less then an hour (the first deployment server took 7 min after the update).

The servermanagers get a early download and update notification to prepare the server for the update. However as the main people that manage our server are from the USA it might take some time for them to notice the update.

It's 8:38 AM, and I'm logging into the server to apply the 2 updates now.  ETA < 1 hour (probably far less, will post up and notify people in TS3 when done)  :coffee:

Yes font looks much better but compass still has same resolution.

Servers Updated to 1.5.3.1

Done...  Checking in TS3 now to verify Mumble is working.  Report any problems or bugs here  :drinks:

Sahel is crashing player's game upon loading up. Would advise to remove it untill fix arrives.

Thats also noticed me for a bit..

 

Where's the Beirut when you need one? Did someone actually put out all the layouts from the map rotation?

As i figure it out, the one that should be on the blacklist is the ALT one (STD is working fine, few days ago. The LRG? Should be the same)

 

Can we put back one of those layouts in rotation again? Some people still wanted to play it

Sahel has never been on any of the map rotations from what i remember.

Beirut STD has an intermittent issue where Western Apartments can't be captured. (don't know if still the case as of 1.5.3)

Regarding STD, it was happening in case when after initial capping bots managed to cap it back to full red. Afterwards team was unable to even start capping it again, just like if capping was disabled.

It's Beirut ALT not STD.

In apartments there are a number of spawn points outside of the navmesh IIRC. So called "deadspawns". Bots there die immediately but they still count to the cap zone.

Same with Shijia INF.

STD also had the same issue on Western Apartments flag, as mentioned by Binkle. Problem might still show up from time to time under certain cirumstances.
