Arma II Charry Black Hawk Down mission

Well just wanted to post what we did today, it is only a first impression of the mission, he is working on adding more stuff and difficulty so it is unfinished, set for a small team so we could see the idea.

Forgot to say that it is made by Charry :D

I think for mission like this you should take another island, like Fallujah http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=12315
this whole map is one big city with a military airport, one FOB, and helicopter base. It was a lot of fun to play on this map.

actually i think i don't need the island outlanders^. but thank you for the link i'll check it out later. i searched a lot of maps but in the end i decided to use this map instead of everything else! but like i said i will take a look and maybe but really maybe i'll do the mission on falluja :)

if it's a blackhawk down style mission Fallujah is the best option

Audio keeps going but video stopped 2:34.......HMMMM guess Google is dropping the ball with YouTube.

Seems okay for what little bit of video is shown.

Yeah i actually recorded the full move from the base to the crash zone and posted here but the video is wrong, maybe youtube problem.

Also recorded the mission from the crash zone's pilot but the same problem is happeneing...

What did you encode the video in? Could either be a encoder problem or a youtube problem, tried using the simple yt uploader?

There are a few people who want to do this kind of mission it seems.. I think we should work together on it. If you guys want to do the placement of editor objects and stuff like that I can take care of random AI spawning and patrols, as well as respawn or rally-point stuff if needed. Of course we would need to get together first and discuss how the mission should play out, etc.

Also I was checking out ACE last night and forgot how awesome it really is.. it has lots of tools for mission makers in the form of editor-placed modules.. and.. .it comes with DAC built-in!! DAC is a very powerful AI generation script that makes your missions dynamic and random, and if we're going to be moving to ACE eventually any mission-makers will need to know the basics of how DAC works.

I would be happy to show anyone who is interested.. or would you guys want to do a mission-making training session at some point?

Id love to mess around in the editor especially with scripts amd such, ive been trying to screw around on it but with only phone net to look up info with i got frustrated
