Arma 2:
Combined Operations / Operation Arrowhead
Reinforcements Update 1.62 Marches In

Prague, Czech Republic, 24th July 2012
As part of their continuous support, Bohemia Interactive has released a new patch for its award-winning tactical military shooter, Arma 2. Patch 1.62 brings a lot of fixes to multiplayer, which – aside for the large scale military battles – will also make zombie hunts much less prone to crashes and should improve server stability. The other highlights of version 1.62 are:

o Multiplayer optimizations, security and server improvements
o Overall stability was improved with numerous tweaks and fixes
o Added new video options (Post-Process Anti-Aliasing, Alpha To Coverage)
o Additional AI improvements and numerous bug fixes
o Resolved issues with several training missions
o Added a lot of new script commands for content makers

For the full list of fixes, be sure to check out 1.62’s README file, which is provided together with the .exe file.

The new update is available for immediate download via our DLC section here: [ Click Here ]

Reply to thisI am so happy this is out now! I'm looking forward to the new scripting commands like addMagazine[type, countOfRounds] so we can track the actual number of rounds in the magazine, and re-add partially spent mags properly to players! Such an important step for RPG elements in mil-sim games!

Great write up, sounds awesome. Not sure if I should update tho based on your forum posts. Are you updating the servers, or should I wait to patch my game?

Reply to thisThe forum post was regarding the pre-release of the patch, but now it has been officially released. We will be patching the VETERANS-GAMING Arma Servers first thing tomorrow (a few issues being resolved by the community, we'll let it get sorted before we jump in the fire)

This should really be called:

The Arma2OA DayZ patch. It's features rocket probably asked for to fix elements and add functionality to his mod that would have no been possible without a patch

Not complaining, though :P
